Story of ACC Cadet Manoj – From Grounds to Glory

The Passing out Parade of ACC batch at IMA, that was held in December, 2015, surfaced some of the great struggle stories of the cadets. IMA Passes out many officers and makes them capable enough to secure the nation at any cost. On one hand, the academy brushes up the personality of the cadets and re-shape them into a fully bold person, while on the other hand, the academy also turns the dreams of some cadets into reality. Manoj, the topper of art stream of IMA was an example of it. Belonging to a lower class family, Manoj’s determination and hard work led him to the doors of IMA and his efforts continued here also. His father was a rickshaw driver and he completed his education till 12th free of cost from Jawahar Navoday School. Rather than adding financial burden of college fees on his family, he joined the Indian air force as a soldier to support his family and trace a way to reach out his dreams. Without halting, he prepared and got selected for IMA through ACC. The new path of his life started at IMA, where he gave his best and became a motivational icon for new and young generation. His sacrifice for his family and his efforts worth his destination.

Another cadet, who went above with his efforts is M Johnson who’s father was a private driver. He came out as the topper of the service subject. He joined engineering corps of the Indian Army rather then joining college. His family is proud of him and his determination took him to this glorious stage of his life.

BSC topper of the batch and a resident of Kathua, Jammu, Kamal Sharma’s father is a teacher. he joined air force as airman in 2005 and stepped toward his ambition and successfully attained it through ACC entry.

It is observed that many cadets belonging to lower class families make their way to the higher ranks of the Armed Forces through the ACC entry. The entry gives chance to the soldiers in the Armed Forces for taking a step toward the next stage of the defense field. These officers come out as a motivation to the new and young aspirants of the nation.

Akshay Kumar Proposes Idea to Help Martyrs’ Family Financially, Asks for Suggestions

0
akshay kumar

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s love for the Indian Army is very well known. It is no surprise to defence aspirants that the top Bollywood actor once wanted to be an army officer.

Like always, he never lets you slip out of surprises he has for you. He often expresses his views on his official Twitter handle and Facebook page. While his last video on women’s safety got a very good response from the public, he has uploaded another video suggesting that the country comes together to help the families of the martyrs financially.

Just a day before the 68th Republic day, the actor has sent out a strong message supporting the families of the martyr financially irrespective of the compensations provided by the government. He conveyed that not only the government is responsible for standing up for the welfare of soldiers, but every citizen is accountable for it as well.

He spoke about a platform, which will be a website or an app, where citizens could be connected to the family members of martyrs and could make financial transfers in form of donations to a verified account of one of the family members.

In his video, he says, “This idea is directly from my heart. Maybe it is useless or can be a big hit. We should have a mobile app or a website, which connects the family members of a martyred soldier with someone who wants to donate money. If a soldier of the Indian Armed forces dies on duty, then a verified account number of his family member would reflect on that site the very next day. It will also show the financial status of the soldier’s family.”

The account will be removed automatically from the app/website once the donations reach ₹15 lac.

He asks the public to support him so that he can get the app designed and produced himself, with permissions from the Indian Army and support from the Government of India.

He has also asked for suggestions from fans. Do you have any suggestions for the betterment of this idea? Like, protecting the bank identity of the family member. Let the suggestions get rolling.

Meet Lieutenant Subhash Ghidiyal Teaches A Lesson To Armed Highway Robbers

Highway robbers got a taste of their own medicine on Tuesday when they tried to loot a young Indian Army officer in Sector 12, Noida.

24-year old Subhash Ghidiyal is an Indian Army officer. He is a Lieutenant in 9 Punjab Regiment and is currently posted in Assam. He had come home for his vacation and was returning from a get-together on Tuesday that night, driving a bike with his friend as a pillion when two unidentified robbers, brandishing gun, stopped them in their tracks.

Lt Subhash Ghidiyal
Lt Subhash Ghidiyal

One of the robbers pointed a country-made pistol at Subhash, but the officer quickly snatched the gun and pointed it back at them. He then started to beat them up.

“It is a part of my training to disarm people. The robbers were asking us to hand over all the valuables we were carrying. I had no option but to disarm him. I beat them up but they ran away in the dark. Since my friend was also with me, I didn’t chase them for long,” Subhash told Hindustan Times.

Subhash then called the police to report the matter.

“I thought of going to the police station and submit the weapon. But I had just started my bike when a PCR approached us and took us to the police station. I handed over the pistol to the police and lodged a complaint,” he added.

The police said they have registered a case against unidentified persons at Sector 24 police station but no one has been arrested so far.

“Subhash has shown remarkable courage and proved that he is well trained. Such people are a great help for the police. He not only averted snatching but also demoralised the snatchers. We appreciate his effort,” the police said.

“A team has been constituted to look into the matter. We have asked the locals to help us with the investigation. The attackers will be nabbed soon,” it added.
