Believe In Yourself and Get Success In SSB

Get Success In SSB

“SSB is a battle fight it bravely as a rehearsal of the original one”~~ Jayendra Pratap Singh. If a person thinks he can achieve anything in this world. Everyone is born with OLQ’s, it’s just the matter of fact how they develop them within themselves and sustain it during lifetime. Having faith that I could achieve everything is the mantra that helps in sustenance of such qualities.  Positive thinking is must and this could be simply achieved by feeling proud in whatever we have and there is no limit to whatever we could achieve but we should not feel low for what we don’t have but should feel proud of whatever we have achieved till now.

So we should do the following to succeed:
  • Thought of what you achieve: There are a lot of things that could be achieved in this big life. Life gives numerous chances to do so, but there is no limit to it. So start feeling satisfied with whatever you have. Now this does not mean that you should stop dreaming big and relax. It means give credit for whatever you have because there are people who have not reached that level even. This credit giving will give you more courage, keeping you stresses free. You will concentrate more towards what needs to be achieved rather than playing blame games.
    Get Success In SSB
  • Believe that you can do it: I would suggest write the statement “Yes!! I can do it” and paste it in front of you. The achievers are also human being like us. The difference lies in the efforts that we all put. Is it tough? No nothing is tough for you. Believe in yourself and analyse how to achieve your target. If need persists plan and make strategy for the path you will follow. Also taking help from people will enhance your preparation to a level that you will be left unbeaten.
  • Imagine and achieve: Imagination is inherent and if not present in you, it can be developed. But the need is to be stress free so that your mind has the chance to think freely and innovate. It can lead you to heights. Be it developing something new or building on your qualities you need to be in a phase of constant improvement. Suppose you believe in following your schedule but if you start maintaining a dairy to mark all important work and their preference order your mind is free of this load to think more. Try these small things to get big results.
  • Move slowly toward your goal: I know you have to achieve a lot, but planning properly and moving towards your goal is something that can give you sure shot results. Achieving more things should not be your goal, but whatever you think of should be achieved should be your desire. Moving slowly does not mean being lethargy and postponing things. Everything needs to be done in perfect timing because it is rightly said that slow and steady wins the race.
Remember every story has an end but in life every end has a new beginning. Strive hard and you will achieve your goal because you are made for that purpose only. Hope these tips work for you and get you in for your dream job. Still if you are bothered by the myths and want individualised mentoring, counselling related to SSB, preparation through one to one interaction, tips and tricks or has queries drop me a mail at [email protected] and it would be my pleasure to resolve it. The success path is very simple unless you have the right person to hold your hand and guide.

The Secret of Officer Like Qualities (OLQ) Revealed

0
indian air force pilot

SSB has several tests that spread over a period of 5 days. All tests are psychologically designed and they are meant to look for the qualities that an officer should possess to sustain the work conditions that the defence sector would give to individuals. Hence officers are tested on such grounds and these tests have the capability to extract the hidden motives and choose the best among the crowd. It is said that the candidate is judged over fifteen OLQ’s or the officer like qualities and if he or she possess them then only he could be recommended. The qualities are widely spread in different domains of human personality and cover various aspects like Social adaptability, effectiveness, how one does planning and how he is at organising things.

The examination is strict and no exception is there for missing qualities. The presence of such qualities is noted through three types of exams which aim at judging the coordination between heart, mind and body. Three different rounds are made to check all possible ways for presence of these qualities. The aspirant would face PI, Psychology and GTO roundswhere different assessors would assess the candidate for appropriateness and fit in service. Different assessors are kept so that the element of favouring or luck factor is minimised as those who judge are also humans but trained specially to assess. The list of fifteen expected qualities is as follows:

  • Effective intelligence
  • Sense of responsibility
  • Organising ability
  • Self- confidence
  • Liveliness
  • Power of expression
  • Social adaptability
  • Courage
  • Speed of decision
  • Cooperation
  • Initiative
  •  Reasoning ability
  • Ability to influence the group
  • Determination
  • Stamina

The essence of each quality should be there and it would be tested by officers, so it is suggested to the aspirants that they should go well prepared knowing what they have and what they can inculcate through changes in their personality. Missing elements can surely be build up in some time if during the preparation the aspirants come to know what is really missing from their personality. Since we know what is being looked at we should be smart enough to get our personalities tested by experts who can guide individually and help reach a level where development could be made.

Board Exams and SSB Preparation

Board Exams and SSB Preparation

One golden opportunity to join the forces is after class 12th. You can join through NDA, Army Tech Entry or Navy Tech Entry. The first one is a written test based entry while the former two are direct entries. For NDA you need to give a written exam and if you qualify that then you’ll get a call for SSB. For the direct entries you will be called for SSB based on your 10+2 marks. So you need to score well in your board exams as well.

The problem here is that most of you appear for SSB while still in 12th, and some appear just after it. That leaves you with a very little time for your preparation for SSB. Many of you also appear for various competitive exams, the preparation of which too takes time, again that leaves you with even lesser time for your SSB preparation. This phase of your life is very crucial and you need to be very sincere at this time. Given below are few tips to help you out at this time, when you need to prepare for your board exams and SSB both.

  1. Decide your priorities: Of course Boards are the first priority, but here I am talking about deciding the priority between the forces and other competitive exams. Other exams hardly have any age limit, but in forces you have a strict age limit. So if you really want to get into it it’s now or never for you. This is so because as and when you pass your 12th, you are almost near the upper age limit and that leaves you with hardly 2 or three chances. If you are very much into joining the forces then you must put in all your focus into it. You always take a year break and prepare for all other exams. You can give them along with your boards also but you must focus more on the SSB.
    NDA exam coaching
  2. Do one thing every day: What creates more problems is procrastination. If you do small portion of something every day it’ll definitely take lesser time than piling up everything together and doing all at the same time. Keep in mind that you SSB might fall very near to your board exams also, in which case you’ll be confused and might panic on how and what to prepare. Thus it is better to do your studies in a timely manner and also prepare for SSB along side.
  3. Make correct use of breaks: You do get holidays, after exams, during festivals etc. Make judicious use of it. Nobody is asking you to sit whole day with books, it’s just a matter of few hours. Study every day in holiday. Just sit for few hours. Focus more on your SSB preparation during holiday.
  4. The ‘Will’ factor: If you really want to do something, nobody can stop you. Of course you can manage both, your boards and your SSB together and get through with flying colors in both. All you need is the will to do it.

How Difficult Is SSB Interview?

0
ssb-rtpcr-report-must

Service Selection Board interviews are a six day process, in which your personality is monitored and matched with the suitability of joining the forces. If you are suitable you are recommended otherwise not. We tend to hear different theories about this interview from different sources. People getting recommended have different opinions, and those not getting recommended have yet another opinion. I am sure that before going for SSB you try to collect as much of information regarding it as possible. And thus you hear different versions of SSB stories from different sources. Here we will focus on understanding how difficult SSB interview is? To begin with, SSB is not a normal job interview where you have to study your head off in order to crack it. SSB is different.

SSB Interview Preparation Material [ 100% Recommended]

It hardly checks your knowledge; it just checks your suitability for the forces. This suitability is not entirely based on your knowledge. You can thus say that SSB is a multidimensional interview. It checks your entire personality. Secondly SSB is not the basis of judging you, whether you are good for doing something in your life or not, it just checks your suitability for the forces. Even if you don’t crack SSB, you can still do very well in other fields. The entire selection procedure of SSB is based on the 15 Officer Like Qualities, which a candidate must possess in order to be suitable for the forces. You can check these qualities in articles present on our website.

spot_img

In SSB interview your personality is under continuous supervision. Each aspect is observed minutely and closely. You can take an idea from the fact that you are checked in every aspect. You are checked for the basic aptitude of an officer in the screening tests, you are checked for your thoughts in the psychological testing. You are checked for your physical fitness and group behavior in the Ground Tests. You are checked individually in the interview with the Interviewing Officer. The people in the board are very experienced and efficient bunch of people. They can easily catch you if you are lying.

How difficult is ssb interview

All the tests in SSB are meant to test you under pressure. This is because in real life situation, an officer has to perform judiciously and efficiently under pressure, so a candidate must give positive response under pressure. The constraint of time is applied in the testing and most of the tests are designed in such a way that they get difficult with time. The level of difficulty is not much. If you look closely you will realize that SSB is more about logic and positive attitude than intelligence. Of course the basic intelligence needs to be there. The reason why you are told to be honest all the time in SSB is because if you lie and get selected somehow, then you might suffer a lot in training and in service because your personality is not meant for it. To conclude I would like to say that SSB is not difficult, it is rather tricky. You are expected to be genuine all the time. Being logical and practical is more important in SSB than being intelligent. You can check the articles on OLQ’s to understand what they are. SSB is six days of learning; you get to learn a lot about yourself and your strengths. It is not difficult, it is just about doing the right thing at the right time.

Importance of Board Exams for Defence Entries

Importance of Board Exams for Defence Entries

Defence forces of India is an attractive career option which you can take after your class 12th. This is however is applicable to only boys and girls can apply only after graduation. There are mainly three entries through which you can join the forces:

  1. NDA: National Defence academy is the dream destination for many 18 year old guys. This academy is located in Khadakwasla, pune and is a tri service academy, where the cadets for army, navy and air force get trained together for a period of three years. On successful completion of which they get trained for their pre commissioning training in the respective academy of the arm of their choice, for a period of one year. NDA exam is conducted twice every year. The successful candidates of written exam are called for SSB. There is no minimum criteria for percentage in this.
  2. 10+2 Army Tech Entry: This is a chance for those who want to become both engineer and a Fauji. You can apply for this entry and make your way to Indian Army, getting a chance to do engineering from Officers Training Academy, Gaya. The mode of entry is direct, that means there is no written exam conducted. You have to apply on the basis of your 10+2 percentage. The cutoff is decided by the Army and people having percentage above that cutoff are called for SSB.
  3. 10+2 Navy Cadet Entry: This is the same thing as Army 10+2 Tech entry, including the same eligibility criteria and procedure of selection. In this also you are directly called for SSB on the basis of your 10+2 board exam marks.
How to join army after 12th exams
So now you are familiar with the three types of entries through which you can realize you dream of joining the forces. And after having a look at their eligibility criteria you’ll get to know that two out of these three entries are a direct entry, which means you need to score well in order to get a SSB call. One more thing to note here is that the magnitude of the number matter here and not the board, this means that no matter what board you are from there won’t be any leniency for you because your board is more difficult than some other board.
nda exam coaching
Board exams are probably the first important exam you give in your life. The marks you score in board exams are important for you to apply for some of the direct entries, like this one. With the increasing competition day by day the cut off is going high for these entries. Also your board marks help you to get in the merit list if you get through SSB. That is suppose you and one more person have the same SSB marks, so how will your position in the merit list be decided? It’ll be decide on the basis of your 12th board marks. And even a few marks can make a difference.
So put in all your efforts to get good marks in your board exams. Still there is time, if done in a planned and systematic way nothing is difficult. Sit down, plan out and work on your plan.
