Future Infantry Soldier As A System

On August 16, 2022, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh presented the Indian Army with systems and equipment that were built domestically. Future Infantry Soldier as a System (F-INSAS), the next-generation anti-personnel mine “Nipun,” a tough and autonomous communication system with improved capabilities, modified tank sights, and cutting-edge thermal imagers are a few of them.

Raksha Mantri essentially handed over modern, high-mobility infantry protected vehicles and assault boats, enabling the troops stationed along the border to appropriately respond to any challenge. In accordance with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision to modernise the Armed Forces under the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan,” the equipment/systems have been jointly developed by the Indian Army in partnership with Defense Public Sector Undertakings, Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), and the Industry.

Meet Harshit Sharma CDS 2 2021 Topper OTA AIR-7

Finally, UPSC-CDS 2021 AIR 7. It sounds like a dream. But yes, dreams do come true. This journey of persistence to join the DEFENCE FORCES started way back in 2019.

I always had a dream to become an officer since school but was not sure which field I will be landing in. Used to look at the statue of Second Lt. Shashindra Singh Rana VrC at a square near my house and asked my dad one day that father who is he…and then he explained that he belonged to our town and was a brave Gorkha warrior who immortalized himself in the Akhnoor sector in the 1965 war and was posthumously awarded VIR Chakra… This incident became one among many reasons to join the defence forces.

spot_img

coming from a non defence family background where no one in the family has ever been an officer and from a small town like Ashoknagar in Madhya Pradesh where the awareness and exposure towards the defence is near negligible  and where only person before me to serve the Indian Army as an officer was second Lt. Shashindra singh Rana Vrc is itself an honour for me

Its been a journey of setbacks, failures, comeback, grit, determination hard work, resilience, and consistency

And after 3 years, having cleared 6 CDS and 4 AFCAT exams and ultimately after 8 shots given at SSBs, I am finally here

spot_img

I owe this success to my family, who believed in my dream and constantly pushed me to never lose hope and keep up with the hard work.

To all the teachers and mentors who shaped me into the man, I am today.

To all the friends who have been the source of immutable support to  me

I promise to serve the country with honor, determination, and courage and will keep the heads of those who believe in me consistently high.

Real Life Terminator: Flight Lieutenant D Ravindra Rao Who Saved a Fellow Pilot from a Crashed Jaguar

0
Flight Lieutenant D Ravindra Rao

Flight Lieutenant D Ravindra Rao (35147) Flying (Pilot) is on posted strength of a Fighter Squadron.

On 06 Nov 21, Flt Lt D Ravindra Rao was ferrying a Jaguar fighter aircraft to another base as part of a detachment. After landing, while carrying out post flight inspection of his aircraft, he heard a loud explosion and saw another Jaguar aircraft crashing and skidding off the runway.

He, while still kitted up with his full flying clothing, sprinted towards the crash site and found the crashed aircraft inverted with a part of canopy broken, both engines still running and the pilot bleeding and hanging from the ejection seat straps. By this time, one Crash Fire Tender (CFT) had already reached the crash site and was dousing the crashed aircraft to extinguish flames.

In the meantime, the second CFT also reached the accident site and was actively directed by Flight Lieutenant D Ravindra Rao to throw extinguishing foam at the correct place. He established that the engines were still running and the pilot’s ejection seat was live, which posed a grave risk of fire and explosion.

Lecturette Topics eBook SSBCrack

Moreover, the pilot was not able to escape from the inverted aircraft. Without wasting any time and thinking of any danger to his life, Flt Lt D Ravindra Rao crawled into the inverted cockpit, operated the crash gang bar and attempted to operate engine throttles to stop position.

Meanwhile, the water sprayed on the engines became hot and started pouring on him and the pilot inside the cockpit. The extensive CO2 foam sprayed by the CFT made it difficult to breathe in that confined space; but he, undeterred by all dangers, continued the rescue operation. He had to reach for the stuck & inverted pilot’s legs and remove leg-restrainers and open part of g-suit to free the semi-conscious individual.

spot_img

He helped to extricate the pilot from aircraft, helped the medical team to remove the pilot’s flying clothing, assisted them to provide first aid and strap the pilot on to the crash stretcher.

Flt Lt D Ravindra Rao showed exceptional courage and gallantry in face of a direct threat to his life. He went far beyond the normal call of duty, personally involved himself in the rescue of the semi-conscious pilot and assisted & guided the rescue crew in effectively completing the rescue operation.

For this act of exceptional courage, Flight Lieutenant D Ravindra Rao is awarded Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry).

Why Indian Army Officers are invited to JCO Mess on 15 August? Explained Here

1
JCOs-invite-Officers-on-15-August

A distinctive custom of the Indian Army is that junior commissioned officers (JCOs) host lunch for officers in their mess on Independence Day, while officers do the same for JCOs on Republic Day.

Why Indian Army Officers are invited to JCO Mess on 15 August

General Cariappa, the first Indian commander of the Indian army, started the custom of inviting JCOs to join their officers for drinks in the Officer’s Mess, which was normally off-limits, after India gained independence. And the officers gave back by asking their JCOs to their mess for a drink on Republic Day.

army mess dinner

This custom has existed since the days of the British Raj, but nothing has been written about it and few people are aware of it.

On Independence Day, the JCOs invite the Officers to a dinner held at the JCOs’ Mess. There is a friendly environment present, and guests and hosts freely converse while enjoying drinks and food. Informally, they express their opinions and points of view.

They dress in uniformary garb such as mufti dresses, cravats, ties, and other “Fauji nature” accessories. When the JCOs invite the officers to the JCO mess on Independence Day, they do so in return. In all of the Indian Army’s units and regiments, these two goodwill events are held.

This practise has British roots, but it was actually practised by princely state forces as well, albeit in a different manner.

OFFICER MESS PARTY

Great warrior kings like Shivaji, Maharana Pratap, and Maharaja Ranjit Singh showed their warriors profound devotion and affection and stayed with them the whole time, sharing the dangers, joys, and food with the same composure.

Another idea suggests that after India gained its independence in 1947, the majority of its officers were still British. As a result, Indian officers were unable to celebrate the day; as a result, JCOs welcomed them to their mess, and this practise has continued ever since.

Ancient traditions are given the utmost importance by the Indian armed forces. Since the days of British India, the majority of these have been admirably adhered to in letter and spirit by individual troops or regiments.

ARMY MEETING

Post-Independence traditions are joyfully and enthusiastically carried out throughout the Indian Army. Thus, all officers and JCOs take part in the celebration of important occasions while also serving as a constant reminder to one another to uphold the sanctity of these occasions and to constantly be prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice of their lives for the benefit of future generations.

OIR Test eBook SSBCrack

Even though there is a significant divide between higher and lower ranks in the Army, JCOs are highly respected on both Republic Day and Independence Day.

“We connect at these events, and the environment feels like a family. We converse privately and share our opinions on many topics. As a result, this distinctive legacy supports the Army’s unity and harmony” said a JCO.

75th or 76th Which Independence Day 2022 Is? Complete Explanation Here

0
75th-or-76th-Which-Independence-Day

Many viewers became confused between the 75th and 76th Independence Day celebrations as the Doordarshan National YouTube channel highlighted India’s 76th Independence Day Celebrations during the live stream.

For her Independence Day celebration on August 15, India is dressed to the nines. However, there is still debate as to whether it is the 75th or 76th Independence Day. Some others even claim that it is the 74th.

To answer the question, “Which Independence Day is it?” you have to do some math. Would India have been free from British rule for 75 years this year or the next? On March 12, 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” to celebrate and remember India’s 75th anniversary of independence. This began a 75-week countdown to our anniversary of independence.

Thus, on August 15, 2022, India will commemorate its 76th Independence Day and complete 75 years of independence.

spot_img

Simple math to determine if it is the 75th or 76th Independence Day

This is for you. India won its arduous freedom from more than 200 years of British domination on August 15, 1947. Thus, India commemorated its first anniversary of independence on August 15, 1948, its tenth anniversary on August 15, 1957, its twentieth anniversary in 1967, and its seventieth anniversary in 2017. In keeping with this, India will commemorate 75 years of freedom from British control in 2022.

However, from August 15, 1947, which would be regarded as the first, India will have celebrated 76th Independence Day.

In a mammoth art project, Kala Kumbh, five hundred master artists worked tirelessly to create ten scrolls, each 75 meters long, out of which eight are displayed here. The monumental scrolls continue the ancient Indian tradition of narrative art and bring to life historic events that led India to break away the shackles of colonial rule.
