Recommended For Indian Navy Through NDA Exam

0

Previously, 2 times screen out and 1 time conference out. And recommended in the 4th attempt for NDA naval Academy from 33 SSB.

‌Screening: I Prepared well for OIR test. Later in the picture perception, a picture in which one teenager with an infant was playing. What I made, was a story revolving around the orphan house. Afterwards, in narration, I narrated it very well (not much before the time and not even taking much time) short and crisp. In discussions, take part actively, don’t repeat any points that you have said before. And it’s not important to initiate the GD, but be active in discussion, don’t think you will get a chance and then you will speak.

Day1- Psychology – Nothing to worry about, take it just as a test, nothing to worry about grammar and vocabulary. What I did, just wrote stories revolving around my background with a realistic end and solution. In WAT make any sentence or word that comes to your mind first. Ex. TRUST- I wrote ” Friendship”. In SRT write most probable and positive response in a good manner ( I wrote around 36/60..not so good)… In SD, think about what to write much before SSB, SD is just like question bank for Personal Interview.

Current Affairs questions will be from last 5-7 months (for AFCAT, NDA, CDS, TA)

DAY2- GTO 1 G.D. – My GD topic was ”What is the biggest threat to peace in the world, Terrorism, Rouge countries, social and communal violence and second why today’s youth deviate nowadays, because of peers, lack of parental attention, online social media. Similar to the discussion of stage 1. Don’t speak for just sake of speaking, recollect your facts and present it In a proper manner, when everybody is listening to you. Don’t speak much, it will be seen as a dominant character. Similarly in GPE, try to give valid points and don’t repeat any point, come for constructive discussion coming out with a proper reason behind it.NDA SSB recommended

PGT, GOT, and HGT – participate actively and coming out with good ideas…. Don’t think like an individual, think as if you have to cross obstacles with the whole group.

Lecture: I spoke on ” Rising power of China in the world” explained it in all aspects of the economy, defense and foreign affairs, gave parallel comparisons with India.

GTO 2- IO, I did 10 obstacles and my CT was also not much challenging, just average difficulty. And completed CT much before in time.

Personal interview: He asked me to rate my performance in GTO tasks and psychological and why. Asked a number of logical and intelligence questions. Asked a number of questions related to my hobbies and interests… To screw the level up he asked a number of technical questions and GK, in which I answered almost 60-70% and rest unanswered, don’t answer in a doubtful manner. Ex. He asked me the length of the coast line of India-and I answered with confidence ” 3500 km” which I heard incorrectly from somebody else. Later….question in SD was asked to me in an indirect manner.

‌Conference: Waited for around 5-7 minutes, then surrounded by all officers in white naval uniform, staring at me, interviewing officer asked me to rate my this time performance in SSB and compare to the previous attempt, and then afterward the similar questions about stay and food.

‌Medicals: About 40-50% candidates get T. R., So, be medically fit. And have a checkup before you go to the SSB. THANK YOU, EVERYONE.

Indian Army Reduces Vacancies For IMA Permanent Commission

0
INDIAN ARMY REDUCES VACANCIES FOR IMA

Indian army is going to make a huge change in its recruitment pattern where SSC entries will be boosted and entries for PC will be cut short. To start with, the Indian army has suspended UES entry and it might reduce the vacancies for TGC entry, UES, and TGC entries are for permanent commission for IMA. As per the report, IMA entry through UPSC CDSE will not have any effect.

In a policy shift, the Indian Army has changed the recruitment pattern for its officers. This will positively impact career progression and lower the age profile of Colonel-above ranks. The decision has three dimensions. The University Entry Scheme (UES) that allowed young graduates to gain entry directly has been suspended for now.

The focus will be on Short Service Commission (SSC) officers for it is being proposed that the service be ‘sweetened’ with perks to attract more candidates. And last, the Technical Graduate Course (TGC) is being tapered off commensurate with the enhanced intake in the SSC (Technical). Top sources said the move was aimed at meeting the recommendations of the Ajai Vikram Singh Committee (AVSC), envisaging a ratio of 1:1.1 between full-time regular officers and the support cadre, largely from the SSC.The present ratio favours the regular cadre and the Army wants to reverse it to lower the age profile of combat forces. The Cabinet, acting on the AVSC report in October 2008, had approved the proposal to reduce the regular cadre.

Read: Indian Army Discontinues TGC and UES Entry?

The Army, till now, allowed SSC officers to serve for 14 years. After halting two types of entries, it has now proposed new norms for the SSC cadre. This will include allowing them to serve for 20 years, making them eligible for pension and ex-servicemen status. This means the officer will be out of the Army by the age of 40-42 with a pension and ample time for a second career. Once the final policy on a better deal for SSC officers is cleared, it will alter the available ‘selection pool’ above the rank of Colonel, in the long run.

Current Affairs questions will be from last 5-7 months (for AFCAT, NDA, CDS, TA)

The Ministry of Defence had set up AVSC in 2001. The idea was to achieve “combat effectiveness” by bringing down the age profile of battalion/brigade level commanders.  The report was implemented in two phases, in 2004 and 2008. The last part of having more SSC officers was pending since then. The move will not affect the conduct of the Combined Defence Services examination through which recruitment is made to the IMA.

Mi 17 Helicopter Crash Mortal Remains Of Crew [Clarification by MoD]

MI-17v5 Helicopter crash and recovery of Mortal Remains of CREW

In a very sad accident on 6 October 2017, one MI-17V5 crashed near Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. The accident occurred in high altitude area while the helicopter was undertaking maintenance sortie. The post is not connected by any road.

Immediately seeing the accident, all soldiers of the post commenced the recovery effort in the treacherous terrain. As the helicopter had caught fire, the recovery was difficult. On 06 October, the mortal remains of the crew and the soldiers who died in the helicopter crash were collected from the wreckage and were promptly moved to the nearest helipad.

Due to constraints of the carriage effort in high altitude area, helicopter cannot carry full load. Mortal remains were wrapped in available local resources instead of improvised body bags or coffins. This was an aberration.

Mortal remains arrived at Guwahati Base Hospital by 2P.M. on 6 October and thereafter post-mortems and other formalities commenced.

Immediately after the post-mortem, all the mortal remains were placed in the wooden coffins with full military honours. Consequent to paying of tributes as per full military honours, mortal remains of all the personnel have been sent to respective next of kin.

Carriage of mortal remains, wrapped in local resources as in this case, is an aberration. Body bags, wooden boxes will be ensured.

Armed Forces always ensure full military honour to the fallen comrades.

Indian Army Discontinues TGC and UES Entry?

1
TGC & UES

Over the past few days, we have received tons of emails from the aspirants asking us regarding TGC and UES entry. The point of concern here is an official notice which is getting viral on social media which shows that there will be no more TGC and SSC tech entries, though the source of this notice is unknown and it looks like an official decision from Indian army. Though we can not comment if this has got implemented or going to be implemented.

The official statement says

  • UES entry has been suspended and TGC entry will be discontinued wef 2017
  • To bring the ratio of reg cadre to sp cadre offrs as per impl instrs for AVSC cadre review.
  • Online, AADHAR based recruitment to ensure a fair sys has been imnl.
  • Vacancies in IMA are planned to be reduced
  • SSC entry is planned to be increased.
  • SSC will be made more lucrative.no TGC UES entry
Current Affairs questions will be from last 5-7 months (for AFCAT, NDA, CDS, TA)

Decoding:

  • TGC/UES entry which is for permanent commission and for IMA is discontinued.
  • These changes are done to correct the ratio as AVSC cadre review. This has something to do with the promotion policy, to know more about it look for The Ajay Vikram Singh Committee (AVSC) cadre review.
  • AADHAR card is going to be implemented here too, similar to our bank accounts, PAN, mobile etc.
  • IMA vacancies are going to drop, it might not affect UPSC CDSE entry for IMA, but vacancies are reduced as there will be no TGC and UES.
  • Short Service Commission (SSC) vacancies will be increased, so you might see more vacancies in CDS OTA, NCC Special Entry, SSC-Tech entry.
  • Short Service Commission will get some service benefits to make it more lucrative.

Conclusion: The whole change has something to do with AVSC cadre review which is related to promotion thingy. Is this a good news or bad new, we don’t know, let us know in the comment section.

* We are not sure if this will be implemented or already in action. If you have more information regarding the same, do share with us.
