I prepared for the interview from SSBCRACK. I had already practiced the rapid fire question from this website. When I was being interviewed, Officer asked many questions i.e. rapid fire at the same time, but I had done practice of it, without skipping a single question I answered all the questions. And officer was seemed to be satisfied as he was acknowledging me making the movement of this head. And my confidence was also increasing by the time. My interview last for 30 minutes. He had asked questions from my PIQ only, in GK he asked a single question: What is ISIS?  I answered it with full confidence. After all he said thanked me and wished me “All the best and May God bless you”. I moved out from the room after wishing him Thank you Sir.

Day 4: 30 July 2015: GTO

I gave 3-4 solid points in both the topics and I listened my group mates very carefully and gave chance to speak others. Optional Topic: How India Can become Supreme Power in the world as it was a dream for our Missile man Dr. APJ Abdul kalam.
  • GPE: During GPE, no one was allowing me speak. All were speaking at the same time; I kept saying that I have a valid and better solution than others. Then I got a chance to put my solution in front of group, All the group members agreed to go with my solution. I was nominated by the group to give a common group plan. GTO appreciated my solution during my briefing.
  • Lecturette: In my card 4 topics were there:

  4. I don’t remember.

After Our GTO tasks are over, GTO took a brief intro of all the group members. When my turn came, he just said,” Just tell me, How a mobile phone call is done” – Being a BTECH ECE topper student, I answered it and then GTO appreciate me by saying “VERY GOOD- TARUN”.

Day 5: 31 July 2015: After Completion of 5 day testing, we went inside Conference room one by one. When I was waiting outside conference, my body was vibrating while I was sitting on the chair. When my turn came to go inside, I was very confident and was keep smiling inside the room. IO asked me why I am smiling. I replied that I have done well in all the three testing and very much confident about my selection this time. The president of the board also asked a question “What Steps should be taken according to you to improve the sex ratio in Haryana”.  I also replied it with facts and some data.

The conference was over. The result was ready. We were waiting for the result in examination hall. After sometimes, Psychologist came with result. Before announcing the result, he gave closing address by motivating all the candidates. After completion of it, he started announcing chest no. those who got recommended. He started like Chest No. 3, 4, 9 …43, 44… 50……….. Mine was 44, I was just**********what to say****** I have no words to express that moment after a struggle for almost 5 years for SSB which started from OCT. 2010 came to an end. A total of 17 out 63 got recommended for Assistant Commandant in INDIAN COAST GUARD.
