10 Latest Current Affairs Questions For AFSB Interview

If you are going to attend AFSB interview soon, here are few latest event you must know and these events could be asked during AFSB interview.

 

  1. S-400 Triumph – India is going through discussion to buy Russian air defence system S-400. The Indian government has approved the acquisition of 5 S-400 missile systems for Rs. 40,000 CR. The missile system is efficient to destroy any missile, aircraft or drone in the range of 400 kms. It has the capability of detecting about hundreds of targets at same time and can even target stealth aircraft.
  2. Digital India program – It is an initiative by the government of India to make India self-reliant and fully fledged with technology to save time and accelerate government responses. The program will help the government to provide government services to people through electronic means and spreading digital literacy.
  3. Fixed-Dose Combination Drugs – Indian government has banned hundreds of fixed dose combination drugs that were examined and found not fit for consumption. Some of them were found responding not as per expectations and some don’t even responded. Pfizer has stopped manufacturing Corex, just after imposition of ban.
  4. What’s new in Myanmar? – Htin Kyaw sworn in as the first civilian president in more than 50 years. He is a close aide of Aung San Suu Kyi (pro-democratic leader).  She is appointed as a minister in Htin Kyaw’s government.
  5. F-16 deal between US and Pakistan – F-16 deal between Pakistan and U.S. is one of the defence news that was recently asked in SSB. U.S is seen planning to deliver 8 F-16 jets to Pakistan, which was opposed by India. Pakistan was also seen to be planning to buy more aircraft to boost its Air Force. But its decision was overruled by U.S.
  6. Zika Virus – Zika virus became a havoc in no time. The virus affects new born babies. W.H.O. has declared an international public health emergency following the high rate of Zika infections. The infection leads to the development of small head of new born babies. The virus is similar to dengue and yellow fever virus. Many things about this virus are still mysterious.
  7. Election 2016 – 4 states and Pondicherry are going to face elections this year. The 4 states are Assam, Kerala, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. 64 assembly constituencies will be used in these 5 elections.
  8. First Silk Road train – The first Silk Road train started from China and arrived in Iran tracking a journey of 14 days. The train carried 32 containers and covered a distance of about 6500 miles. Further, the plans are being made to extend the route to Europe.
  9. Ranji Trophy 2015-16 – Mumbai has won Ranji trophy 2015-16 defeating Saurastra. Mumbai won it at a record 41st time after reaching 45 times in the finals. This was the 82nd season of Ranji trophy with 27 participants in the tournament.
  10. Tango Project by Google – Tango is a project by collaboration of Google and Lenovo. This technology enables the smartphones, tablets and other devices detect their position with respect to the world without using any GPS or other external signals. This will help in the measurement of physical spaces, 3D mapping etc.
