The opportunities of SSB are either served by clearing the qualifying exam or by direct entries. The best way proffered by most of the people is to opt written exams like CDS, NDA, T.A. and AFCAT. All these exams have different patterns and verity in levels of questions. Handling current affairs question is the biggest problem for most of the candidates, especially for those who are appearing in CDS and NDA exams as the UPSC G.K. pattern is very complex. Well, there is no direct or shortcut way for it, but it can be overcome by constant efforts. Candidates can follow the following steps to raise their knowledge of current affairs by opting the following steps.

  2. Television – The most relevant way to improve your current affairs and stay in touch with current events is to watch news channels. Prefer DD news to get selected news of different sections. News channels cover most of the current affairs news and are the easiest way to get more in less time. avoid commercial news and focus on the news that can be a beneficial for you.
  3. Online Sources – Internet has become a strong power of youth. Well, the judicious use of it is crucial to bring favorable results. To brush up your current affairs, which you have skipped in newspaper can be read on various current affairs websites. Several online sources give current affairs in point form, while some websites release PDF file having creamy news classified in different sections.
  4. Magazines – Current affairs can be easily improved by reading current affair magazines. Monthly, semi-annual and annual editions of such magazines are released. It doesn’t need any internet connection or any gadget to read and is more relevant in reading. E-magazines are also their on the respective websites of the publishers and can be bought online.
  5. Apps – With the deep penetration of smartphone in current generation, apps have become a convenient way to operate things over smartphones. Several current affairs apps are there on mobile app stores that can be beneficial for you, as it will save your time and are easy to handle.
