Indian Army Made JEE Mains Compulsory For TES Entry

Update: TES (10+2) ENTRY-46 COURSE : JAN 2022 1. ONLINE APPLICATIONS FOR TES-46 WILL OPEN ON JOININDIANARMY.NIC.IN IN THE MONTH OF JUL-AUG 2021. 2. JEE MAINS HAS BEEN MADE OBLIGATORY FOR TES-46 COURSE. THIS IS IN ADDITION TO THE CRITERIA OF MINIMUM MARKS IN PCM IN CLASS 12TH. As per the latest update from the Indian Army, JEE mains will be made compulsory for the candidates who are applying for TES Technical Entry Scheme in 2021. From TES-46 onwards, JEE mains will be made obligatory as an eligibility criterion along with 60% marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) in 12th Class. TES 46 for the Indian Army will be conducted in May – June 2021.

As per the current TES educational qualification, anyone with 70% marks in PCM in 12th can apply for TES entry. Later Indian Army releases a final cut off marks for TES based on which candidates are shortlisted for TES SSB interview. You can find the previous TES cut offs below.

What will happen from TES-46:

  • Candidates must write JEE mains to apply for TES.
  • Candidates must have minimum 60% marks in PCM in 12th to apply for TES.
  • Final cut off will be released to shortlist candidates for SSB based on PCM and JEE mains score

Official Statement: “TES (10+2) ENTRY-46 COURSE : JAN 2022 :- Online applications for TES-46 will open on Joinindianarmy.nic.in in the month of May-Jun 2021. JEE Mains has been made obligatory for TES-46 Course. This is in addition to the criteria of minimum 60% marks in PCM in Class 12th.”
