The nine choppers destined for the Indian Coast Guard are poised to replace aging light utility helicopters, enhancing the organization's operational capabilities in safeguarding the nation's maritime interests.

In a significant development aimed at bolstering India’s defense capabilities and promoting indigenous manufacturing, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has given its nod to a proposal for the acquisition of 34 new Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv choppers.
