Upon receiving the distress call, the vigilant crew of the Indian Coast Guard Ship Amogh swiftly sprang into action, diverting its course to the location of the distressed fishing boat.

Despite the challenging sea conditions, the dedicated personnel aboard the Amogh remained undeterred in their mission to rescue the stranded fishermen.

Upon reaching the scene of the incident, the crew of the Amogh wasted no time in launching a comprehensive rescue operation. With precision and professionalism, they safely evacuated all 27 Bangladeshi fishermen from their stricken vessel, ensuring their well-being and safety amidst the vast expanse of the sea.

Following the successful rescue operation, the rescued Bangladeshi fishing boat and its crew were transferred to a Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) ship waiting at the Indo-Bangladesh Maritime Boundary Line.

The seamless handover reaffirmed the spirit of cooperation and collaboration between the maritime forces of India and Bangladesh in safeguarding the lives of seafarers operating in the region.

The timely intervention of the Indian Coast Guard Ship Amogh not only averted a potential maritime disaster but also demonstrated Indiaโ€™s commitment to upholding its responsibilities as a responsible maritime neighbor.

By extending a helping hand to the distressed fishermen, the Indian Coast Guard exemplified the values of compassion, solidarity, and goodwill that transcend borders and boundaries.

As Indiaโ€™s maritime guardian, the Indian Coast Guard remains steadfast in its mission to protect and preserve life at sea, irrespective of nationality or origin.

The successful rescue of the Bangladeshi fishermen serves as a testament to the Coast Guardโ€™s unwavering dedication to its motto, โ€œVayam Rakshamahโ€ โ€“ โ€œWe Protect.โ€

The Indian Coast Guard Ship Amoghโ€™s rescue operation underscores the importance of international cooperation and collaboration in ensuring maritime safety and security. Through joint efforts and mutual assistance, maritime nations can effectively address challenges and promote safety and security in the shared maritime domain.
