COAS General Manoj Pande Commends Retiring Officers for Their Service

In a heartfelt and inspiring address, General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), interacted with the officers who are set to superannuate on 31 May 2024, during the Retiring Officersโ€™ Seminar (ROS). The seminar, held at the Army Headquarters, was a tribute to the decades of selfless service rendered by these distinguished officers to the nation and the Indian Army.

General Pande began his address by commending the officers for their unwavering commitment and dedication. He acknowledged the invaluable contributions made by these officers in various capacities throughout their illustrious careers.

โ€œYour selfless service and dedication have been the cornerstone of our nationโ€™s security and the strength of our Army. Each of you has played a pivotal role in upholding the values and traditions of our esteemed institution,โ€ General Pande remarked.

Reaffirming his faith in the retiring officers, General Pande expressed his confidence that they will continue to play a positive role in nation-building even after their retirement.

He emphasized that their wealth of experience and leadership skills would be an asset to society. โ€œRetirement is not the end of your service to the nation; it is merely a transition to a different phase. I am confident that you will continue to contribute to nation-building in various capacities, inspiring future generations with your wisdom and experience,โ€ he added.

The COASโ€™s address was filled with messages of gratitude and encouragement. He highlighted the significance of their contributions during times of peace and conflict, emphasizing that their efforts have ensured the safety and security of the nation.

General Pande also encouraged the retiring officers to remain active and engaged, suggesting that they could take on advisory roles, mentor young officers, or involve themselves in community service and educational initiatives.
