Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command, reviewed the grand Passing Out Parade (POP) of the Short Service Commission (Tech) Men-63 and SSC (Tech) Women-34 courses at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gaya. The parade displayed immaculate drill, seamless coordination, and remarkable turnout, symbolizing the high standards of training, discipline, and dedication instilled at the academy.
On this significant occasion, 207 Officer Cadets were commissioned as Officers in the Indian Army. The Army Commander extended his heartfelt compliments to the passing-out cadets and congratulated their proud parents. He underlined the unparalleled honour of donning the uniform and serving the nation through the Indian Army.
The Army Commander also participated in the much-awaited Pipping Ceremony, where he personally piped some of the cadets into Commissioned Officers, marking the culmination of their rigorous training and the beginning of their service to the nation. Addressing the newly commissioned officers, he urged them to uphold the proud traditions, ethos, and values of the Indian Army, serving with integrity and honour.
In a solemn gesture of respect, Lieutenant General Sengupta, accompanied by Officer Cadets, laid a wreath at the OTA Gaya War Memorial. The homage to the Bravehearts reflected the academyโs deep-rooted ethos of remembering and honouring the supreme sacrifices made by soldiers of the Indian Army.
The occasion stood as a proud milestone for the young officers stepping into their roles as leaders of men, ready to serve the nation with valour and commitment.
