In a prompt and compassionate humanitarian response, the Spear Corps under the aegis of the Eastern Command took swift and decisive action to manage a medical emergency involving 12 students from Silviya Bethel High School in Leimakhong, Manipur, who had accidentally ingested toxic Jatropha scaposa seeds.
Upon receiving the distress call, medical teams from the 183 Military Hospital, Leimakhong, immediately swung into action. The students were quickly examined, and the medical staff provided urgent treatment, continuous monitoring, and restorative care to counter the effects of poisoning.
Thanks to the timely medical intervention and dedicated efforts of the Armyโs medical personnel, all 12 students are now stable and recovering well.
