Indian Army soldiers carried out a swift and courageous humanitarian rescue at an altitude of nearly 15,000 feet in Ladakh, saving the lives of two critically injured civilians following a vehicle accident near Durbuk.

Battling extreme cold, thin air, and treacherous terrain, Army personnel reached the accident site promptly. With no immediate vehicular access, the soldiers evacuated the injured on their backs, administered timely first-aid resuscitation, and successfully shifted them to the nearest medical facility for further treatment.

The operation highlights the Indian Armyโs unwavering commitment to humanitarian assistance in some of the most challenging environments, reaffirming its role not only as a guardian of national security but also as a lifeline for civilians in distress.
