The Indian Navy marked the successful culmination of the Chief Petty Officer (CPO) Management Course and Petty Officer (PO) Leadership Course on January 14, 2026, with a formal ceremony recognising professional excellence and leadership development.
The ceremony was presided over by Commodore Manmohan Singh, Commanding Officer of INS Agrani, who served as the Reviewing Officer. He awarded medals to achievers from the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard in recognition of their outstanding performance during the courses.

The CPO (Management) and PO (Leadership) courses are designed to enhance managerial competence, leadership qualities, and decision-making abilities among junior leaders, preparing them for higher responsibilities in operational and administrative roles. The successful completion of these programmes reflects the high standards of training, discipline, and professional rigour upheld by the Indian Navy.

Addressing the personnel, the Reviewing Officer emphasised the importance of effective leadership, adaptability, and teamwork in todayโs complex maritime security environment. He highlighted that strong junior leadership forms the backbone of operational efficiency and mission success across naval and coast guard units.

The event reaffirmed the Indian Navyโs continued commitment to capacity building, leadership development, and professional growth. It also underscored the Navyโs role in strengthening maritime cooperation and jointmanship with the Indian Coast Guard, contributing to shared regional security and stability in the Indian Ocean Region.
