Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command, visited the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gaya, to review training standards, administrative preparedness, and ongoing infrastructure development focused on shaping the Indian Armyโs future leaders.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the Academyโs training philosophy, curriculum delivery, and initiatives aimed at nurturing professional competence, character, and leadership among officer cadets. He also reviewed measures being undertaken to strengthen infrastructure and support systems in line with evolving training requirements.

Addressing officers and Gentleman Cadets, Lt Gen Sengupta spoke on the realities of the contemporary operational environment and the complex challenges facing young military leaders. He underlined the importance of professional competence, moral courage, adaptability, and sound decision-making, while remaining firmly anchored in the timeless ethos and core values of the Indian Army.

The Army Commander highlighted that leadership responsibilities extend across peace, crisis, and conflict, and urged cadets to lead by example with integrity, resolve, and a strong sense of higher purpose in service of the nation.
The interaction inspired the cadets to prepare for future challenges with confidence and clarity, reaffirming OTA Gayaโs pivotal role in producing capable, values-driven leaders for the Indian Army.
