Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited the Centre of Expertise for drone fabrication, maintenance and repairs to review capabilities critical to sustaining operational readiness and technological superiority.

During the visit, the Army Commander assessed advanced facilities involved in the repair, maintenance and servicing of unmanned systems and associated equipment. He was briefed on indigenous fabrication efforts, rapid repair processes, and innovations aimed at improving serviceability and turnaround times for drones deployed in operational areas.

Lt Gen Sharma commended all ranks for their high standards of professionalism, technological ingenuity and skill. He acknowledged their vital contribution in ensuring high equipment availability, enhancing operational preparedness, and strengthening the Armyโs ability to respond effectively to evolving battlefield requirements.

The Army Commander ะฟะพะดัะตัะบed the growing importance of drones and unmanned systems in modern conflict and stressed the need to continuously upgrade maintenance, repair and fabrication capabilities to meet the emerging challenges of future warfare.
