Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, visited the Mahar Regimental Centre in Sagar and was briefed on the Centre’s core training programmes and infrastructure enhancements aimed at delivering rigorous and contemporary military training for Agniveers.

During the visit, the Army Commander reviewed state-of-the-art training facilities and modern instructional systems designed to prepare soldiers for the complexities of modern warfare. He commended the Centre for maintaining exceptional training standards and advancing technology absorption within its pedagogy framework.

Interacting with Agniveers at the Advanced Drone Training capsule, Lt Gen Seth lauded their growing proficiency in drone operations alongside strong foundational soldiering skills. He emphasised the importance of integrating emerging technologies with traditional military values to build a tech-enabled and future-ready force.

The visit underscored Southern Command’s focus on innovation-driven training, ensuring that young soldiers remain operationally agile, technologically empowered and fully prepared to meet evolving battlefield challenges.
