The inaugural five-day Yodha Rakshak Combat Casualty Care (YRCCC) capsule conducted at the Officers Training College, AMC Centre & College (AMC C&C), Lucknow, concluded on 13 March 2026.
The specialised training programme saw participation from 30 officers belonging to various Arms and Services of the Indian Army, aimed at enhancing their capability in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC).

Focus on Battlefield Life-Saving Skills
The course trained officers in combat casualty management techniques, enabling them to provide immediate medical aid during operations and preserve fighting strength on the battlefield.
The training emphasised rapid response to battlefield injuries, trauma care and emergency stabilisation, which are critical in saving lives during combat situations.

Commandant Highlights Importance of Combat Medical Training
Addressing the participants during the closing ceremony, Lieutenant General Shivinder Singh, Commandant AMC Centre & College, highlighted the vital role of combat casualty care in reducing battlefield fatalities and maintaining operational effectiveness.
He encouraged the officers to apply the skills learned during the course to enhance survival rates and strengthen medical preparedness during operations.
The YRCCC capsule reflects the Indian Army’s continued efforts to equip its officers with advanced life-saving skills and improve medical response capabilities in combat environments.
