Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Western Command, reviewed the operational readiness of the Pine Division under the Kharga Corps, assessing the formation’s preparedness to meet evolving security challenges.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the division’s operational capabilities, preparedness measures and ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing combat effectiveness and mission readiness. The review focused on the formation’s ability to respond swiftly and effectively across the spectrum of military operations.

Lt Gen Pushpendra Singh appreciated the division’s efforts towards integrating modern technologies into operational planning and execution. He commended the formation’s focus on technology infusion and capability enhancement, highlighting the importance of innovation in maintaining a decisive edge in contemporary and future battlefields.
The Army Commander also reviewed logistics preparedness and sustainment measures, acknowledging the critical role of robust logistical support in ensuring uninterrupted operational capability during both peace and conflict.

Interacting with officers and troops, Lt Gen Pushpendra Singh lauded all ranks for their professionalism, dedication and commitment to maintaining high standards of operational excellence. He noted that the formation’s focus on continuous training, modernisation and preparedness has significantly strengthened its operational effectiveness.
Emphasising the dynamic nature of the security environment, the Army Commander urged personnel to sustain the highest standards of combat readiness and remain prepared to effectively address future contingencies and emerging challenges.
