Lieutenant General Rajan Sharawat, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Rising Star Corps, visited forward areas to review the operational preparedness and combat readiness of troops deployed along the formation’s area of responsibility.
During the visit, the Corps Commander assessed the overall security situation and reviewed the operational capabilities of the deployed units, with particular emphasis on the integration of emerging technologies into military operations.
A key focus of the review was the Army’s growing use of drone technology and its seamless incorporation into battle drills to enhance surveillance, situational awareness and operational effectiveness. Troops demonstrated their proficiency in employing modern unmanned systems as force multipliers in contemporary battlefield scenarios.
Lt Gen Sharawat lauded the troops for maintaining a high state of combat readiness and praised their professionalism, dedication and adaptability in embracing technological advancements. He commended the personnel for rapidly adopting emerging technologies and effectively integrating them into operational procedures to maintain battlefield dominance.
Highlighting the changing character of warfare, the Corps Commander stressed the importance of continuous innovation, technological proficiency and mission-oriented training in preparing for future operational challenges.
