The Short Naval Orientation Course for Medical Officers concluded at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, following a focused programme aimed at professional development and familiarising medical officers with the values and ethos of naval service.
The course was designed to strengthen leadership qualities among medical officers and inculcate the Naval Value System, preparing them to undertake their responsibilities with greater confidence and professionalism in the operational environment.

As part of the concluding ceremony, the Oath of Allegiance was administered to the participating officers, reaffirming their commitment to the nation and their responsibilities as members of the Indian Navy.
Book prizes were also presented to recognise outstanding performance and encourage a culture of learning and professional excellence among the officers.

The Commandant, Indian Naval Academy, shared his experience and insights with the newly oriented medical officers and encouraged them to approach their future appointments with confidence, commitment and pride.
The Commandant also emphasised the importance of upholding the values and traditions associated with naval service as the officers progress in their careers.

The successful completion of the course marks an important step in preparing medical officers for their future roles within the Indian Navy, strengthening both their professional capabilities and understanding of naval leadership.
The programme reinforced the importance of medical officers functioning as an integral part of the Navy’s operational and organisational framework while carrying forward the ethos of service in the White Uniform.
