Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, visited the Military–Civil Fusion Node of Southern Command at Bhopal to review the ongoing two-week specialised training capsule for 50 personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The programme is focused on strengthening airport security mechanisms and enhancing contingency response capabilities.
The training capsule is part of joint initiatives aimed at deepening Military–Civil synergy in safeguarding critical infrastructure. Specialist instructors from Para (Special Forces) units of the Indian Army and the National Security Guard (NSG) are imparting advanced operational tactics, Close Quarter Battle (CQB) drills, and crisis response procedures tailored to emerging threat scenarios.

The structured training programme integrates real-time simulations, tactical coordination modules, and refined response strategies to enhance joint preparedness. The capsule will culminate in a high-intensity validation exercise at Bhopal Airport, designed to test inter-agency coordination, speed of response, and operational effectiveness in a dynamic airport security environment. The exercise aims to reinforce a coordinated, technology-enabled, and highly responsive national security architecture.

During the visit, Lt Gen Seth also witnessed a live demonstration of refined Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) executed jointly by instructors and CISF personnel. He commended the instructors and trainees for their professionalism, operational clarity, and spirit of jointness.
The Army Commander emphasised that strengthening collaboration between military forces and central armed police forces is essential in addressing complex and evolving security challenges. The initiative reflects a unified national resolve to safeguard critical infrastructure and bolster preparedness against emerging threats through integrated and technologically advanced frameworks.
