The Central Command Investiture Ceremony 2026 was conducted at Clement Town, recognising acts of conspicuous gallantry, distinguished service and unwavering commitment to duty by personnel and units of the Indian Army.

Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Surya Command, conferred honours upon bravehearts, outstanding soldiers and units whose professionalism and dedication have made lasting contributions to the Nation and strengthened the Army’s operational ethos.

On the occasion, the Army Commander also presented 19 Surya Trophies to select units and establishments for excellence in the delivery of medical care to serving soldiers and veterans. Additional recognitions were awarded for notable achievements under Clean and Green initiatives, reflecting the Army’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable military station management.

Commending the awardees for their exemplary accomplishments, Lt Gen Sengupta urged all ranks to draw inspiration from their achievements and continue to serve with steadfast devotion, high morale and uncompromising professional standards, reinforcing Central Command’s legacy of excellence and service to the nation.
