Lieutenant General Pawan Chadha, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Trinity Area, visited the Headquarters Jharkhand & Bihar Sub Area at Danapur Cantonment to review operational preparedness, training standards, infrastructure development and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) capabilities.
During the visit, the GOC was briefed on the Sub Area’s ongoing initiatives to enhance training, improve operational infrastructure and strengthen preparedness for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. He reviewed measures being undertaken to ensure that formations remain capable of responding swiftly and effectively to both military and civil contingencies.
At the Bihar Regimental Centre, Lt Gen Pawan Chadha assessed the training being imparted to Agniveers and emphasised the importance of focused, mission-oriented training to prepare young soldiers for the evolving demands of military service. He stressed that alongside physical and tactical proficiency, psychological conditioning is equally important in building mentally resilient, disciplined and confident soldiers capable of performing effectively under challenging operational conditions.
The Corps Commander appreciated the efforts of the instructors and training staff in developing future-ready soldiers through modern training methodologies, professional mentorship and a structured approach to character development. He encouraged continued innovation in training practices to align with the changing nature of warfare and operational requirements.
As part of his visit, Lt Gen Chadha also inspected the Army Public School, Danapur, where he reviewed academic standards, student welfare initiatives and institutional infrastructure. He interacted with the school administration and emphasised the importance of maintaining high educational standards through regular academic evaluation, continuous faculty development and student-centric learning practices.
The GOC highlighted the need for periodic infrastructure upgrades to provide a modern learning environment for students and ensure that educational institutions within military stations continue to deliver quality education to the children of serving personnel and veterans.
The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s holistic approach towards operational readiness, combining rigorous military training, mental resilience, educational excellence and infrastructure development. It also underscored the Army’s commitment to preparing its personnel for future challenges while ensuring the welfare and development of military families through quality educational facilities.
