The delegation particularly acknowledged IMA’s advanced training facilities and the manner in which academic inputs are incorporated into the overall development of Gentlemen Cadets. Modern warfare increasingly requires officers to possess a sound understanding of technology, engineering, communication systems, cyber security, artificial intelligence and emerging operational concepts alongside traditional combat skills.

The academic collaboration between IMA and VMSB UTU supports this requirement by facilitating structured educational engagement and promoting the exchange of expertise between military professionals and academic institutions. Such cooperation helps officer cadets develop analytical abilities, technical knowledge and a broader understanding of the evolving character of warfare.

Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University plays an important role in promoting technical education, research and innovation across Uttarakhand. Its association with the Indian Military Academy represents a significant example of civil-military academic cooperation aimed at strengthening national institutions and preparing future leaders for emerging challenges.

During the visit, the delegation also appreciated the Indian Military Academy’s emphasis on values-based leadership. The academy’s training system is designed not only to develop professional military competence but also to instil a strong sense of duty, honour, responsibility and commitment to the nation.

The interaction between Prof. Dr. Tripta Thakur and Lt Gen Nagendra Singh reaffirmed the importance of sustained institutional cooperation between the university and the academy. Both institutions continue to contribute in their respective domains towards nation-building, leadership development and the advancement of professional education.

The visit concluded with an acknowledgement of the enduring partnership between VMSB UTU and the Indian Military Academy. The collaboration is expected to continue supporting the academic and professional growth of future military leaders while encouraging innovation, knowledge-sharing and excellence in training.
