Next Stages of Selection
- Viva-Voce (50 marks): Only candidates who have passed the written examination will be called. The viva-voce will be conducted by the respective state governments at locations within the state. State authorities will directly intimate the date, time and venue to the qualified candidates, with a copy to RIMC. The interview assesses intelligence, personality, confidence and communication skills. Minimum 50% is required to pass.
- Medical Examination: Candidates who clear the viva-voce will undergo a medical examination at designated military hospitals. Only those found medically fit will be considered for the final merit list and admission.
Final selection is based on combined performance in the written examination and viva-voce, subject to medical fitness and availability of vacancies (approximately 25 seats per term).
Important Notes for Candidates and Parents
- The result PDFs contain detailed marks in Mathematics, English and General Knowledge for every candidate who appeared.
- “AB” in the marks columns indicates absence in that subject.
- Candidates should regularly check their respective state education department or public service commission websites for viva-voce schedules, as RIMC itself does not conduct the interviews.
- Keep original documents (birth certificate, school certificate, domicile, category certificate if applicable, Aadhaar, photographs) ready for the next stages.
Looking Ahead
Clearing the RIMC written examination is a significant achievement. The college’s rigorous academic, physical and leadership training has historically produced a large number of officers for the Indian Armed Forces. Qualified candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly for the viva-voce, focusing on current affairs, general awareness, communication skills and confidence.
Congratulations to all the successful candidates and their families. The next few weeks will be crucial as they prepare for the viva-voce and medical stages.
For the most authentic and updated information, candidates must rely only on the official RIMC website (rimc.edu.in) and communications from their respective state governments.
