The Influential Moves By China

China has been in a status of strong economic and defense condition from past few months. Looking at the high pace of manufacturing of weapons and war machines, China has been estimated to take over other developed nations in defense strength in upcoming decades. But recent actions of China to lure other small nations have been termed as a signal for India.

Recently Bangladesh got its first set of two submarine, which were delivered on 14th November. As per the sources, Bangladesh paid $ 203 million for it. The deal was a sign of the rising bonds between both the nations and growing economic stability of Bangladesh. Earlier in 2013, the Bangladeshi government has signed deals with Russia for purchasing fighter jets, helicopters and anti-tank missiles. The deal for submarines was taken into consideration to improve its maritime security and getting leveled with other nations in defense and security field. China has also shown its deep interest in Nepal, last year, by signing a deal for fuel export to Nepal. Pakistan has also got maximum support from China in defense (Yuan class submarines) and economic (Gwadar port) field.

Apart from this, Donald Trump’s is being alleged to show his interest in investing in the ambitious project of One Belt One Road, an ambitious project of China. The chief of AIIB (Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank) has signaled the allegation of it. The head of AIIB told media that Obama was not right for it and Donald will be a right person for investment. The project OBOR is the project to revive the ancient silk route and is seen as the new step to enhance and raise the economic ties between Asian nations.

Coming to the defense enhancement of the China, China has been assumed to have completed the manufacturing of its aircraft carrier “Lioning” and now it is ready for combat. It was purchased from Ukraine as just a hull and was commissioned in 2013. China has not come up with any specific use of it that could be deploying it on the disputed territory of South China Sea or using it for training purpose for its officers and soldiers. As per the sources, China is reported to be manufacturing a completely indigenous aircraft carrier and the progress is in full swing. The performance of the aircraft carrier was reported to be lagging behind the carriers of the U.S. carriers, but some of its features, like maintenance, have been appreciated by the U.S. authorities.

Conclusion – The economic stability and escalated defense involvement has made China lead the Asian nations. The south Asian nations have been either influenced by India or by China. China has been seen attracting small Asian nations in order to retain its power in the Indian Ocean region. Moreover, China has made its bold impact over other nations by giving proposals of weapons and warheads to them, prominently to Pakistan and now to Bangladesh. India is also preparing itself to bring out the best of it, to come out with a strong force by recovering the squadron dearth in the Indian air force and other such steps. India has made certain strong moves to counter China and will make its way to keep its hold over IOR.
