Major General Manish Kumar Assumes Command as IG of Assam Rifles

In a ceremonial handover on March 15, 2024, Major General Manish Kumar, Sena Medal (Bar), took charge as the new Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North), based in Kohima, Nagaland. He succeeded Major General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, assuming responsibility for the strategic and operational command of Assam Rifles units in the northern region.

During the handover ceremony, Major General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, expressed his confidence in Major General Manish Kumarโ€™s ability to lead Assam Rifles (North) effectively.
