The Indian Armyโs Northern Command on Wednesday released a video showcasing highlights of Operation Sindoor, the May offensive against terror launchpads in Pakistan carried out in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people.
In a post on X, the Northern Command described the operation as โan exemplar of restraint turning into decisive responseโ, stressing that India struck only specific terror bases and agreed to a ceasefire to avoid escalation.
Rare Operational Footage
The over three-minute video features dramatic visuals of precision drone and missile strikes on Pakistani targets. It also includes a clip from May of Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), stating that it was Pakistanโs DGMO who first proposed the ceasefire.
โThe precision strikes on terror launchpads and elimination of perpetrators of the Pahalgam massacre underscore our unwavering pursuit of peace,โ the Northern Command said.
With bold text declaring โA new line is drawn: India will not stop until terrorism is wiped outโ, the Army highlighted its sovereign stance of rejecting third-party mediation, a veiled reference to US President Donald Trumpโs claims of having โstopped the war.โ
