Officer Cadet Sunil Kumar, from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, is all set to make history at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, as he prepares to march proudly in the Passing Out Parade (POP) tomorrow, September 6, 2025. From a Driver’s Son to Officer Cadet
Born into a modest family, Sunil Kumar’s story reflects sheer grit and determination. A student of Birla School, Pilani, and a graduate in Analytical Chemistry from Kirorimal College, Delhi University, he overcame repeated setbacks to achieve his dream.
Before making it to OTA, Kumar attempted the SSB 14 times, cleared three CDS exams and five AFCAT exams, and even served as a CRPF Sub-Inspector, gaining valuable discipline and resilience.

During his 49-week training, Kumar stood out with extraordinary performances:
