Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, visited forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) and in the hinterland to review the operational preparedness of troops.
During the interaction, Lt Gen Sharma was briefed on the current security situation, ongoing counter-infiltration measures, and readiness of formations to respond to emerging challenges. He lauded the troops for their steadfast commitment, high morale, exceptional professionalism, and unwavering dedication while operating in challenging conditions.
The Army Commander expressed confidence in the Northern Command’s operational capabilities and appreciated the continued synergy between the Army, security forces, and local administration to ensure peace and stability in the region.
Lt Gen Pratik Sharma’s visit reinforced the Indian Army’s determination to maintain a high state of operational readiness and uphold the spirit of “Forever in Operations”.
