Martyr Lt Col Niranjan’s Home Is Being Demolished By Govt, And No One Cares

Lt Col Niranjan Kumar Home Is Being Demolished

With Bengaluru civic body marking buildings that had encroached on storm water drains, for being razed, a portion of martyred NSG commando Niranjan Kumar’s house has also come under the demolition list.

“The BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) officials have marked for demolition one of the three pillars on which my (late) son Lt Col Niranjan Kumar’s house is standing,” Kumar’s father Shivarajan said from Palakkad in Kerala. A pillar has encroached on a storm water drain at Doddabommassandra near Vidyaranyapura and officials have marked the portion.Lt. Col Niranjan

Shivrajan said his wife Radha and another son (Shashank) have sought time from the BBMP to make their own arrangement “to remove the marked pillar.”

“If demolition is really required then we are ready for it. We just request the officials to give us some time so that we can build a new pillar across it,” Shashank said.

“My wife and son have sought time for removing one of the three pillars on which the house is standing. My family is bit worried about the BBMP officials using JCB (earth mover) to pull down the structure as it may cause considerable damage to
the house itself,” he said.

Shivarajan is in Palakkad making arrangements for organising a function on 15 August in memory of his martyred son, a bomb expert with NSG, who sacrificed his life during the terror attack on Pathankot airbase in January this year. He was killed while sanitising a terrorist’s booby-trapped body.

Shashank told ANI that the family has not yet spoken to any government official. “A pillar of the house was marked and the officials left. It is not a common man’s house, it’s a national hero’s house,” he further added.

18 Things You Can Relate To, Being A Military BRAT

0
Military BRAT

Being a child of a serviceman is tough. But that makes you adaptable, you become good at making friends, and you wouldn’t trade your childhood for anything in the world. Here are the 18 things that a military brat can definitely relate to:

  1. There is no other grocery store for your daily needs than the CSD.

Is there even a need to go to grocery stores out of the cantonment area? You get everything in there, ranging from food to daily needs!

  1. You always have a dependent card even if you don’t have a school ID.

Dependent card is your first priority when you go out. No, not even driving license!

  1. You are frequently asked from where you are.

People even ask where you were born and how many places have you been to. Ah! You had to explain it all over again to them and they eventually stop listening.

  1. When you see someone in uniform, your chest swells up, and you have immediate respect.

Your father or his CO gives you an intense motivation to do whatever you want to in your life, like these brats:Fauji Brats

  1. Your school was a changing reality.

By the time you complete your twelfth, you’d have been to at least 5-10 different schools. Thank AWES that there are many APS, AFPS and NCS in the nation to feel the continuity.

  1. Travelling in a large truck to school and back doesn’t seem strange or exciting to you.

All the Stallions and Shaktimaans seem normal. It’s just like a school wagon to you.

  1. The National Anthem you sing in regular morning assemblies made more sense to you than your civilian friends.

Because you’ve been there; done that.

  1. Your dad has activated level 99 combat mode in response to a harmless loud noise that you made.

If you are around him, you better be in discipline, betcha!

  1. You respect time.

If you are not 10 minutes earlier to an event, you are late.

  1. Activities like swimming, tennis, bowling and other outdoor games are your normal everyday activities.

And you get to do all of them for FREE!

  1. Calling everyone by last names seems normal is very normal.

Because that don’t even matter unless you add “Sir”, “Mam” or “Ji” at the end. “Sharmaji’s Son” has no comparison to you because this is a whole different universe.

  1. A-B-C-D is not regular Apple- Ball-Cat for you.

What? A for Apple, B for Ball? That’s Alpha-Bravo-Charlie-Delta, bitch.

  1. Unit Partys/Bada Khana/Mess Food was your favourite time-out with your family.

When the invitation circular has those tiny words at bottom that just stand out “including children”, it is a fantastic feeling.

  1. Anyone senior than you is “Bhaia” or “Didi”.

Remember that moment when you had a secret crush on that “DIDI” in school?

  1. Your doctor wears combat boots.

And so does your helper, your gardener, your grocer, and every other job you can think of.

  1. 9’o clock is not morning for you, it’s half the day gone.

Even if you get up get up at 8 in the morning, you have definitely over-slept.

  1. You need to maintain proper grooming standards.

Since, your father is your Supreme Court, regular haircuts and well-iron clothes are your priority in front of him. You are a bit of a perfectionist, especially in your appearance. It is a requirement that a soldier and his family are neat and well-groomed.

  1. The day your Dad gets promoted is an awesome feeling.

I still remember how happy we were the whole week when my dad got promoted twice in two years!

There have also been instances where security was provided on recommendations of the state government.

Delhi Police Thrashed 15-year-old Army Colonel’s Son For PM Modi

0
DELHI POLICE THRASHED 15-YEAR-OLD ARMY son

A 15-year-old boy, son of a serving Colonel of Indian Army, was allegedly thrashed near Dhaula Kuan by two Delhi Police personnel posted to ensure smooth passage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cavalcade on Tuesday evening. Kislay Mudgal, who lives with his family at Dwarka Sector 21, had gone to Dhaula Kuan to play basketball around 5 pm. He was waiting for a car sent by his father to pick him up when the two policemen allegedly confronted and asked him to move away.

“He was waiting for the vehicle when the two cops bullied him. When he reacted to it saying they cannot treat him like that they pushed him and then started slapping him repeatedly on the face and back,” alleged Viplav Thakur, the boy’s uncle. He also alleged the policemen dragged him inside the Dhaula Kuan police Chowki and beat him up. “As he was hit by the cops, his braces came out with blood in his mouth and his spectacles and mobile phone were also damaged,” Thakur alleged.

“A young woman who tried to intervene admonishing the policemen for treating the boy brutally, was also misbehaved with by them. The woman later called Colonel Kunal and gave all the details to him,” he said. Father of the boy, along with his colleagues and relatives, went to the police station to lodge a complaint. A senior Delhi Traffic Police official confirmed that the incident occurred around the time PM’s cavalcade was to pass from there. The incident was also captured in the CCTV cameras. Senior police officers also confirmed the incident saying the guilty head constable identified as Rajendra Kumar has been shifted to police lines and further enquiry is being conducted.
