Life Changing Decisions For SSB

0
ssb interview tips

“Sometimes the smallest step in right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tip toe if you must but take the step.” Someone has rightly said that constant movement in the right direction is better than taking large leaps towards success as that might not be permanent. Small steps lead to big success. Walk tip toe if needed to reach your goal because whatever small you do for working towards your goal is just a small step towards success. You need to cover a large distance and then only can see the glory of winning. In this way there will be thousands of problems and many stoppages but you need not stop and just continue walking. Consistency is the only key that can take you towards your goal of clearing the SSB. Why because:

Life Changing Decisions For SSB

  • Never break trust of anyone. The place you aspirant are aspiring to go need utmost purity. Maintain the dignity of the place and try to live life like an officer always .
  • Life has a lot to offer, never lose hope.
  • Work hard consistently.
  • Don’t look for shortcuts they are only helpful in solving maths problem that too when basics are clear. Work hard to achieve so that you can be proud of that.
  • Try and try till you succeed.
  • De motivation is the biggest enemy for anyone. Don’t allow it to come near you.
  • Time management is the funda that needs to be learnt.
  • Never feel bad for people who laugh at you, they do it because they cannot do anything else. Say thank you to them because they are your real motivators as they make you realise that you have still lot to achieve and reach to heights where such people can’t reach

I know it’s difficult to accept failure and it’s difficult to try again but don’t feel bad. Always keep trying. I am sure you will in course of time fins a reason of why you were out or failed a particular time. Life gives reason for everything, might be not instantaneously but later in life. And the best way to find reasons of failure in SSB is self-introspection. History has seen that whosoever has mastered this technique has done wonders in life. I have seen many incidences in my course of life where life had snatched everything , I felt like leaving everything but then the ray of hope sprinkled more courage over me, strong will and dedication towards my aim forced me to work more hard. I achieved a lot and felt like I have done a lot in life. But then suddenly a push back and again came to the same point where I started from. This life is so tricky and such a viscous circle that no one has ever understood what it wants. And believe me that’s the fun of life.

Hope these are some of the useful points that I use and have experienced in life. They really helped me achieve a lot and push back big difficulties. Still you need to share your personal problems related to any facet of life, you can drop me a mail for personal counselling, individual mentoring related to SSB at [email protected] or drop me a message at Facebook with the problem. I would be really pleased to help future officers who are in a process of getting ready to protect my motherland.

GD Topic Series: Are Women Fit To Join Indian Defence Forces

SSB GD Topic Are Women Fit To Join Indian Defence Forces

While I was planning to write something for the blog on one side I was appreciating idea of our Prime Minister Modi on the other side for declaring a new theme for the republic day which was Women based because he wanted to show the power of Indian women to the strongest nation. It was first time in history when the guard of honour was a woman. That’s the pride of our nation. Times are changing and we are nowhere living in dark ages where woman is just confined to four walls of house, or they are illiterate and would only do the household work.  They have moved a step ahead and they are managing both the sectors well. They are taking care of home and job simultaneously. They are raising the horizons and have reached till the moon. They are there on the Everest and are occupying many successful positions like CEO, CMD, etc.

GD Topic Series: Are Women Fit To Join Indian Defence Forces

Earlier defence sector was skeptical whether women will be able to manage the physical toughness needed for the job, but our Indian pride has left every convention behind and is doing wonders. That’s why at many places where women entry was restricted in the defence having now been opened for our ladies and they are as successful as men counterpart. Women are restricted to enter the fields in defence where more often the work needs physical stamina, but yes they are doing good in technological field and administrative services. But now the view point is changing and they are allowed to manage fields also. They are provided physical training which is nowhere less then what is provided to men. Every coin has a flip side as well. There might be cases arising for sexual harassment or other such things but I think women are not afraid of any such thing and are ready to serve the nation with full pride.

These are just my viewpoints but we can also speak about the flaw of this thing. GD always have the advantage of presenting the viewpoints in a balanced fashion.  Just remember to follow the basic etiquette’s of the team participation and GD is an easy round for all. Selection is purely based on the content knowledge, group behaviour, confidence and body language. Communication apart from this plays an important role. Body language in such an exercise is very important and I would deal it in a separate article. Still If you have any confusion or feel to take individual assessment of personality for olq’s or prepare from your place itself through one to one interaction through my mentoring / counselling program drop me a mail at [email protected] or add me on Fb and drop in a message. It would be a pleasure to help and resolve queries and clear doubts which are more often myths .So keep working hard and practice is the only key to success in such rounds.

Essential Tips of Time Management for SSB Preparation – Part 2

0
ssb-time-management-part-2

In the previous part of this series we saw the importance of time management and I tried to link it with the defence aspirants. In this part we will see how it can impact your performance and how you can achieve success with proper time management. Time management in regard to defence aspirants is just starting in time as SSB is all about personality changes and personality is so much dynamic that it needs time to change. I have seen many aspirants who were recommended or have reached conference but when they attend the next SSB, they were screened out. Does this mean that luck factor works in SSB? Strictly no as SSB is a scientific way of judging an aspirant so luck factor has been completely removed from the process. And you cannot give responsibility of our country to such people who make in with their luck factors as it’s a big responsibility. So definitely who make it in have it in them?

Time Management for SSB Preparation

Yes absolutely right. They have the desired level of qualities needed to become a trainable candidate to become officer and serve the nation. Few things that can help the aspirant are following:

  • Practice hard but it should be time bound: As such SSB is all about personality revealing in front of the panel and it does not need much practice except when you are doing self-introspection that will give exposure to your strengths and weak areas. So whenever things are practiced at your place ensure the timer is always working on your side.
  • Narration to be time bound: Since all the events are having maximum time limit but narration for various things to improve communication skills and other relevant areas should definitely be practiced with watch. Communication is definitely a good impression caster at screening round.
  • Don’t wait but act immediately: I have seen aspirants that they keep on waiting for the date or the call letter and once they receive it they realise that they have less time left for preparation but I would advise that start early. Take the present case where TGC-121 centre allotment list is out but many are still wondering what will happen and when will they receive a call. This is the best time that one should start making schedules properly for all round development of personality and start preparation.

If you know the trick of holding time then you can win everything in this world and everything is for you but if you don’t respect time its hard to achieve anything. So act smartly and immediately. Still If you have any confusion or feel to take individual assessment of personality for olq’s or prepare from your place itself through one to one interaction through my mentoring / counselling program drop me a mail at [email protected] or add me on Fb and drop in a message. Its always a pleasure to help aspirants and clear their doubts which are often myths that they hear from different resources, but I can suggest if you get the right guidance at the right time to resolve queries, everyone has the capability to make into defence forces. Just try it once.

Get ready for Personality preparation for SSB There are lot many who see the uniform and are influenced by it while there are others who are ready to work hard for gaining the stars on the shoulder. But that’s not that easy as it looks like. For getting all that respect in the form of uniform or stars one need to undergo one of the finest exams in India named SSB. It’s all about personality and not learning things and writing there in the same form unlike many exams in our country. And yes once people make through it they reach one of the finest dream destinations that they can think of. The defence training academies in India provides what all a youth can think of. Yes they train you like anything to make officers but you will live all the world class facilities for you that no other place and job can offer.

Personality Preparation for SSB

SSB is just a simple personality exam where one needs to represent himself or herself in front of assessors who try to judge whether the candidate is trainable or not. Simply said you just have to be yourself in SSB. Now what should one do when one thinks of joining the defence

  1. Don’t wait for the last moment that you will start preparation at the last moment as personality is something which takes time to improve and its always better to start
  2. Personality analysis has many tools that can help for improvisation but with experience I can say that self-introspection is the best technique that helps in proper analysis of personality. There are tools available for this which facilitates in easing the process. I in my personal mentor ship that is provided to aspirants use such tools which can be used from the place of residence and full analysis can be done. None the less if someone has knowledge of psychology can themselves do it.
  3. Communication plays a vital role in casting good impression and practice is the only key that helps in improving it, so that’s why I always suggest my mentees to start early so that all the flaws can be studied and worked upon.
  4. Body language and facial expressions are also really important to be worked upon and hence need proper workout as body is something which speaks language of its own and can caste your reality in front of assessors. You can try to modify the words you speak but it’s really difficult to modify body language and it has been noted that assessors catch the aspirants from this only, so work on it also.

It would be a pleasure to help and resolve queries and clear doubts which are propagating and causing a hindrance in preparation.
