The unfortunate loss of Wg CdrHarshitSinha, of 51 SQN (SWORD ARMS) in a MiG-21 Bison aircraft crash, on 24 December 2021 in the Western Sector. Remember the valiant service of the Indian Brave Air Warrior and his sacrifice in the line of duty.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has offered condolences on Wing Commander Harshit Sinha’s death in the MiG-21 crash in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer. IAF tweeted. “IAF conveys the sad demise of Wing Commander Harshit Sinha in the flying accident this evening and stands firmly with the family of the braveheart.”
A MiG-21 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed today evening near Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Till last reports came in, a search was on for the pilot.
Updateby India Today: “The incident took place in Sudasiri village near the Indo-Pak border in Jaisalmer. According to sources, the pilot died in the accident. His body has been recovered. The administration has reached the spot. The investigation is underway. More details are awaited.”
UPSC has published the merit list of CDS 1 2021 for IMA, AFA and INA. OTA Merit list will be published later. Names of 154 candidates are mentioned in this merit list. 85 for Indian Military Academy, 58 for Indian Naval Academy and 11 for Indian Air Force Academy.
The following are the lists, in order of merit of 154 (85 +58 +11) candidates who have qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2021 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in February, 2021 and SSB interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 152th Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course i.e. No. 211 F (P) Course.
The number of vacancies, as intimated by the Government is 100 for Indian Military Academy [including 13 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ certificates (Army Wing) holders], 26 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala Executive(General Service)/hydro [including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders (Naval Wing)] and 32 for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad(03 vacancies are reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate(Air Wing) holders through NCC Spl. Entry.
The Commission had recommended 2679, 1136 and 637 as qualified in the written test for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy, respectively. The number of candidates finally qualified are those after SSB test conducted by Army Head Quarters.
The results of Medical examination have not been taken into account in preparing these lists.
These results will also be available on the UPSC website at http://www.upsc.gov.in. However, marks of the candidates will be available on the website after declaration of final result of Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) for Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2021.
On the basis of the results of the COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (II), 2021 held by the Union Public Service Commission on 14th November, 2021, 6845 candidates with the following Roll Numbers have qualified for being interviewed by the Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence, for admission to (i) Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 153rd (DE) Course commencing in July, 2022 (ii) Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, Course commencing in July, 2022 (iii) Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course (212 F(P)) commencing in July, 2022 (iv) Officers Training Academy, Chennai 116th SSC (Men) (NT) (UPSC) Course commencing in October, 2022 and (v) Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 30th SSC Women (Non-Technical) (UPSC) Course commencing in October,2022.
The candidature of all the candidates, whose Roll Numbers are shown in the lists below, is provisional. In accordance with the conditions of the admission to the examination, they are required to submit the original certificates in support of age (Date of Birth), educational qualifications, NCC (C) (Army Wing/Senior Division Air Wing/Naval Wing) etc. claimed by them to IHQ of MoD (Army) / Dte Gen of Rtg (Rtg A) CDSE Entry for SSC male candidates and SSC women entry for female candidates West Block III, R. K. Puram, New Delhi-110066 in case of IMA/SSC first choice candidates and Naval HQ “DMPR” (OI & R Section), Room No. 204,‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011 in case of Navy first choice candidates and PO3 (A)/Air Headquarters ‘J’ Block, Room No. 17, Opp. Vayu Bhawan, Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110 106 in case of Air Force first choice candidates by the following dates failing which their candidature will stand cancelled. The original Certificates are to be submitted not later than 01st July, 2022 for IMA & NA,not later than13th May, 2022 for AFA and not later than 1st October, 2022 in case of SSC course only. The candidates must not send the original Certificates to the Union Public Service Commission.
Candidates who qualified in the written exam and given their first choice as Army (IMA/OTA) are required to register themselves on the recruiting directorate website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in in order to enable them to receive call up information for SSB interview. Those candidates who have already registered on the recruiting directorate website are advised not to register again.

Indian Army has published the SSC Tech 29 women cut-off marks for shortlisting candidates for SSC Tech 29 SSB interviews. Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics has the highest cut-off marks of 82%. Official Notification says “SSCW(TECH)-29 (APR 2022) COURSE – CUT OFF PERCENTAGE FOR SSB SHORTLISTING (UPTO 6th SEMESTER CUMULATIVE FOR ENGG DEGREE COURSE AND 2ND SEM CUMULATIVE FOR M.SC COMPUTER SCIENCE).”
Indian Army has published the SSC Tech 58 men cut-off marks for shortlisting candidates for SSC Tech 58 SSB interviews. Mechanical branch has the highest 72% cut-off and rest all the branches are having cut off marks of 60%. Cut Off: Students who score more than the cut-off are considered for SSB interview. Cut Off will be declared by the board based on the applications received and candidates qualified in the first stage of the recruitment process. Indian Air Force has published the Merit list of Air Force Academy for the course commencing from Jan 2022. The list has candidates from AFCAT, CDS and NCC entry. The Merit list in order of Merit, entry wise for courses commencing at AFA in Jan 22 is placed below. The Merit List is without the Medical status and is to be used to see the relative position of all candidates recommended by AFSBs. This Merit list does not convey that you have been selected to join AFA. A separate merit list of candidates who are selected to join AFA would be published depending upon order of Merit, medical fitness, choice of branch of the candidate and vacancies available in each branch.
