NCC 51 Indian Army Special Entry Scheme Notification

Indian army will open the online registration for the NCC 51 special entry scheme from 05 Oct 2021 to 03 Nov 2021. Candidates with NCC C certificate can apply for the NCC 51 course which is going to commence at OTA Chennai in April 2022. Defence aspirants with NCC C Certificate can apply for the latest NCC C Certificate Special Entry to join Indian Army as an officer. NCC Special Entry is a short service commission entry for the NCC Cadets through which male and female NCC Cadets can join the Officers Training Academy Chennai. Indian army has published the NCC special entry 2021 for NCC 51 recruitment. Defence aspirants with an NCC C certificate can apply for this entry. Applications are invited from unmarried male and unmarried female (including Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel), for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army.

NCC 51 Eligibility

  • Nationality. A candidate must either be: (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A certificate of eligibility will, however, not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.
  • Age Limit. For NCC candidates (including wards of Battle Casualties) 19 to 25 years as on 01 Jan 2022 (born not earlier than 02 Jan 1997 and not later than 01 Jan 2003; both dates inclusive).
  • Candidates should note that the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate on the date of submission of applications will only be accepted and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

IMPORTANT NOTE. Candidates must note that they can appear for ONLY one of the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview, either SSC (NT)-115 Course (April 2022) /SSC (NT) (Women)-29 Course (April 2022) as CDSE candidate OR NCC (Spl) Entry-51 Course (April 2022). Candidates are required to give an undertaking to this effect under the declaration part of the online application.

Educational Qualification and other Criteria

For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders

  • Educational Qualification. Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years. Those studying in final year are also allowed to apply provided they have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of three/four years degree course respectively. Such students will need to secure overall aggregate of minimum 50% marks in degree course if selected in interview, failing which their candidature will be CANCELLED.
  • Service in NCC. Should have served for minimum three academic years (wef 22 Feb 2013 to onwards till date)/two years (23 May 2008 till 21 Feb 2013) in the senior Division/Wing of NCC.
  • Grading. Should have obtained minimum of ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC. Applicants, who are not holding NCC ‘C’ Certificate on date of application, are not eligible to apply for the course.

Note 1. For the Qualified Graduate Candidates of the Degree Course. Candidates who have passed the graduation degree course must produce the provisional/degree certificate by 1st April 2022 to the Directorate General of Recruiting, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
Note 2. For the Candidates Studying in the Final Year of Degree Course.
The candidates studying in the final year of graduation, if not already in possession of provisional /degree certificate must submit the proof of their passing the graduation degree Exam by 1st April 2022 to the Directorate General of Recruiting, failing which their candidature will be cancelled. Those who are not able to produce the degree certificate/provisional degree certificate by the specified date will be inducted on Additional Bond Basis only on submission of proof of their passing graduation degree exam to the Directorate General of Recruiting by the above specified date.

(iv) Algebra. Basic operations, simple factors, remainder theorem, HCF, LCM, theory of polynomials, solutions of quadratic equations, relation between its roots and coefficients (only real roots to be considered). Simultaneous linear equations in two unknowns-analytical and graphical solutions. Simultaneous linear equations in two variables and their solutions. Practical problems leading to two simultaneous liner equations or in equations in two variables or quadratic equations in one variable and their solutions. Set language and set notation, rational expressions and conditional identities, laws of indices.

(v) Trigonometry. Sine x, cosine x, tangent x when O° < x < 90°. Values of sine x, cos x and ten x, for x = 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° & 90°. Simple trigonometric identities. Use of trigonometric tables. Simple cases of heights and distances.

(vi) Geometry. Lines and angles, plane and plane figures theorems on

  • Properties of angles at a point.
  • Parallel lines.
  • Sides and angles of a triangle.
  • Congruency of triangles.
  • Similar triangles.
  • Concurrence of medians and altitudes.
  • Properties of angles, sides, and diagonals of a parallelogram, rectangle and square.
  • Circle and its properties, including tangents and normal.
  • Loci.

(vii) Mensuration. Areas of squares, rectangles, parallelograms, triangles, and circles. Areas of figures which can bisect into the figures (field book). Surface area and volume of cuboids, lateral surface, and volume of a right circular area of cylinders. Surface area and volume of spheres.

(viii) Statistics. Collection and tabulation of statistical data, graphical representation-frequency polygons, bar charts, pie charts, etc. Measures of central tendency.

Paper-II. General Knowledge and English.

(a) Part – 1. General Knowledge. General knowledge including knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observation and experience in scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. The paper will also include questions on the history of India and the geography of nature which candidates should be able to answer without special study.

(b) Part – 2. English. The question paper will be designed to test the candidates’ understanding of English and workman-like use of words. Questions in English are from synonyms, antonyms, reading comprehension, Para jumbles, error spotting, jumbled sentences, sentence correction, and fill-in blanks.

Candidates to ensure their eligibility for the examination: The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of Admission Certificate to the candidate will not imply that his candidature has been finally cleared by the competent authority.

UPSC has published the special NDA 2 2021 notification for the women aspirants. Only women aspirants who are looking forward to joining the National Defence Academy can apply for the NDA 2 2021 application from 24 Sep 2021 till 08 October 2021. The NDA 2 2021 written exam will be conducted on 14th November 2021. Many NDA aspirants were concerned about the number of seats/vacancies. The total seats will remain unchanged, both men and women aspirants will be competing for 400 Seats through NDA 2 2021.

Women aspirants do not have any special vacancies mentioned in the NDA 2 2021 notification as such. Total 400 seats are mentioned for both male and female aspirants. NDA 2 2021 will have a total of 400 seats as mentioned in the notification. 370 to include 208 for Army, 42 for Navy, and 120 for Air Force (including 28 for ground Duties). 30 for Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme).

After women are allowed in the NDA, the competition will definitely increase and only the best 400 men and women will be able to make it to the National Defence Academy for the 148th Course, and for the 110th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd July, 2022.

Vacancies are provisional and may be changed depending on the availability of training capacity of National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy.


A candidate is required to specify clearly in the Online Application Form the Services for which he wishes to be considered in the order of his preference [1 to 4]. He is also advised to indicate as many preferences as he wishes to opt so that having regard to his rank in the order of merit due consideration can be given to his preferences when making appointments.

Candidates should note that they will be considered for appointment to those services only for which they express their preferences and for no other service(s). No request for addition/alteration in the preferences already indicated by a candidate in his application will be entertained by the Commission.

NDA 2 2021 SSB INTERVIEW: The candidates who qualify in written examination will be called for SSB Interview from the available centers in India.

  • Stage I – Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR), Picture perception, and Description Test.
  • Stage II – Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and Conference

TRAVELING ALLOWANCE FOR SSB: Candidates appearing for SSB interview for the first time for a particular type of Commission i.e. Permanent or Short Service, shall be entitled to AC III Tier to and fro railway fare or bus fare including reservation cum sleeper charges within the Indian limits. Candidates who apply again for the same type of Commission will not be entitled to traveling allowance on any subsequent occasion.

NDA 2 2021 MEDICAL TEST: Candidates who qualify in SSB Interview they should stay 2-3 days more at the SSB Center to undergo medical tests conducted by the board. To qualify a medical test, the candidate should be fit both mentally and physically.

RTPCR Report Mandatory for Territorial Army Exam 2021

Minimum height shall not be less than the minimum height prescribed by the RPWD Act — 2016 (as amended from time to time).
