In a significant move to strengthen security along the Line of Control (LoC), the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the White Knight Corps, Lieutenant General Prasanna Kishore Mishra on Thursday conducted a forward area visit to the Krishna Ghati sector. The senior officer was accompanied by the GOC of the Ace of Spades Division during the high-level inspection.
The visit focused on reviewing the prevailing security situation and assessing the operational preparedness of troops deployed in this sensitive sector, which has witnessed repeated ceasefire violations in recent years. Military officials said the GOC stressed the importance of enhanced surveillance and fortified defenses to counter infiltration threats and safeguard territorial integrity.

This development comes against the backdrop of past incidents. To counter threats, the Army has been integrating advanced technologies along the LoC. Recently, a three-tiered robotic counter-infiltration grid was deployed in the Kupwara district. The system is equipped with radars, UAVs, thermal imaging devices, and mine-based obstacle mechanisms to monitor and block infiltration attempts, particularly during high-security national events.
The White Knight Corps, raised in 1972, continues to draw inspiration from its illustrious Ace of Spades Division, which has a decorated history dating back to World War II’s Arakan campaign. This legacy of resilience and combat excellence was reflected in the troops’ high morale and readiness during the GOC’s interaction.

Army officials reiterated that regular patrols, ambushes, and surveillance dominance remain key to securing the volatile border. With the visit, the Indian Army reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and stability along the LoC.
