The Indian Navyโs Annual Training Conference and Annual Training Meeting 2025 was held today at the Naval Base, Kochi, under the chairmanship of Vice Admiral V. Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C), Southern Naval Command.

The conference brought together heads of training establishments, Fleet Commanders, and representatives from Naval Headquarters, Western Naval Command, Eastern Naval Command, and the Indian Coast Guard. Release of Training for Tomorrow
A significant highlight of the event was the release of the document Training for Tomorrow โ Capstone Compendium of Courses Offered to Friendly Foreign Countries. This compendium reflects Indiaโs role as a โPreferred Training Partnerโ for friendly foreign navies and reaffirms the Navyโs contribution to strengthening regional and global maritime cooperation through professional military education.
Recognition of Excellence
During the ceremony, the Gyan Praveen Trophy for Best Training Package was awarded jointly to INS Valsura, INS Vishwakarma, and the School for Naval Airmen (SFNA). The award recognized their innovative and effective training initiatives that contribute significantly to capacity building within the Navy as well as in support of partner nations.
Reinforcing Indiaโs Role as a Regional Training Hub
The conference highlighted Indiaโs growing stature as a regional hub for military training, not only meeting the demands of its own naval forces but also supporting friendly foreign countries in building maritime capability.
