The Indian Army today conducted a successful combat launch of the BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile from a test range over the Bay of Bengal, showcasing the missile’s long-range precision strike capability. The mission was carried out by a BrahMos unit under Southern Command in close coordination with elements of the Tri-Services Andaman & Nicobar Command, reflecting seamless operational integration.

Equipped with advanced guidance and control systems, the BrahMos missile demonstrated high-speed flight stability and terminal accuracy, successfully striking its designated target. The launch met all operational objectives under simulated battle conditions, reaffirming the Army’s readiness to conduct real-time precision strike missions against emerging threats.

The launch marks a significant milestone in enhancing India’s long-range strike capability, strengthening national deterrence, and highlighting the reliability and effectiveness of indigenous missile systems. It also underscores the nation’s commitment to self-reliance in defence under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
