In a proud milestone for the Indian Navy, a grand Convocation Ceremony was held at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), where 84 Midshipmen were awarded B.Tech degrees after successfully completing four years of rigorous training.
The degrees were conferred by Dr N Kalaiselvi, Secretary of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) and Director General of CSIR.

The graduating batch included four international trainees from two friendly foreign countries and three women trainees, reflecting the growing diversity and international cooperation within the academy’s training ecosystem.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Kalaiselvi congratulated the graduating trainees for successfully completing the demanding training programme and praised their parents and instructors for their unwavering support and mentorship in shaping future military leaders.

She highlighted the increasing influence of emerging technologies on modern battlefields and stressed the importance of continuous innovation, technology absorption, and leadership in ensuring maritime security for an aspirational India.
The Chief Guest also expressed confidence in the ability of the graduating officers to adapt to future technological challenges and contribute meaningfully towards strengthening India’s maritime capabilities.

Officials stated that the convocation ceremony reflected the Indian Navy’s continued emphasis on academic excellence, technological advancement, leadership development, and operational readiness in preparing the next generation of naval officers.
