Western Army Commander Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, conducted a comprehensive review of the operational preparedness of troops deployed in the Bani–Macchedi region and other forward areas of the Jammu sector.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the security situation, troop deployment, surveillance measures, and readiness to counter emerging threats along the sensitive frontier. The review focused on ensuring robust response capabilities and enhancing mission readiness amid evolving security dynamics in the region.

Interacting with officers and soldiers on ground, Lt Gen Katiyar lauded their exceptional professionalism, high morale, and unwavering dedication to duty. He commended the formations for maintaining a strong operational posture through sustained vigilance, rigorous training, and seamless coordination.

Reaffirming the Western Command’s commitment to safeguarding national security, the Army Commander urged all ranks to remain alert, technologically adaptive, and mission-focused to effectively counter any contingency along the Jammu sector’s forward areas.
