Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, visited the EME School, Vadodara, to review training standards, infrastructure, and key transformation initiatives aimed at strengthening the Indian Armyโs technical and operational readiness.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on major initiatives aligned with the Indian Armyโs Decade of Transformation. The briefing highlighted the EME Schoolโs sustained focus on innovation, indigenisation of niche technologies, and excellence in technical educationโcritical enablers for maintaining high levels of operational preparedness across formations.

Lt Gen Seth reviewed the training infrastructure and was apprised of contemporary training methodologies and ongoing specialist courses in Armament, Optoelectronics, and New Generation Vehicles & Equipment. These programmes are designed to equip officers and soldiers with cutting-edge technical skills required to support modern, technology-intensive military platforms.

The Army Commander appreciated the institutionโs role in developing technically proficient manpower and integrating emerging technologies into training curricula. He underlined the importance of continuous upskilling, adaptive learning, and indigenous solutions to meet evolving battlefield demands.

The visit reaffirmed Southern Commandโs emphasis on technology-driven capability development and the pivotal role of EME School in enhancing the Indian Armyโs operational effectiveness and self-reliance.
