The College of Defence Management (CDM), under HQ IDS, has inaugurated Vartalaap, an indigenous offline, AI-powered Language Learning Model aimed at transforming defence education and academic resource access.
Developed entirely in-house by CDM’s Simulator Development Division, Vartalaap is tailored to meet the needs of participants of the Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC). The platform offers intelligent, offline access to CDM’s extensive knowledge base, including dissertations, case studies, presentations, and past research papers.
The cutting-edge tool is designed to enhance learning outcomes by fostering analytical thinking and providing secure, seamless access to academic material. By operating in a closed offline environment, Vartalaap also ensures data protection while encouraging independent study and collaborative discussions.
The initiative reflects CDM’s sustained commitment to harnessing advanced technology for defence education, preparing future military leaders to navigate complex strategic and management challenges. Vartalaap is expected to serve as a force multiplier in the academic development of officers, aligning with the broader vision of integrating innovation into military learning systems.
