  5. This project will use indigenous technology, designed by IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee, which would use solar energy for heating and draw ground water into the heated environment of the BoP to keep it running.
  6. The design will also have an interlinked system of barracks to accommodate over 100 jawans, mess, toilets, armoury, medical room, an office of senior officers and area for motor and animal transport.
  7. The work on the first BoP has started. It should be completed by May next year and our jawans can use it from next winter.
  8. The ITBP plans to construct 50 such BoPs in the region, where temperatures usually hit minus 40-degree celsius.

Here’s All About The Latest Naval Warship Trending In News, “Mormugao”

mormugao

The Indian Navy unveiled Mormugao, its new destroyer at Mumbai’s Mazgaon Docks for the very first time on Saturday, the 17th September. The ship is the second in Project 15-B destroyers which will be fitted and inducted into the Navy in a couple of years.

Here’s all about the muck talked-about Mormugao:

  1. The Project 15B destroyers are packed with advanced stealth features, sensors and top of the line weapons making it one of the most technological advanced guided missile destroyers in the world. The navy aims to take the level of indigenisation to 68% in this project.
  2. Mormugao weighs a whopping 7,300 tonnes and is 163 metres long. It is named after the picturesque Mormugao port of Goa and is being built by government-run Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL).
  3. It is powered by 4 Ukranian gas turbines that can run at a max speed of 30 knots (56 km per hour) making Mormugao one of the most lethal destroyers to have been built in India.
  4. The ship has been built to operate 4,000 nautical miles at sea with a capacity of 50 officers and 250 sailors operating it.
  5. The Mormugao has a Multi-Function Surveillance Threat Alert Radar (MF-STAR). It is an Israeli-designed sensor that can track targets in the air from hundreds of kilometres away.mormugao
  6. It can direct a number of Barak 8 Long-Range Surface to Air missiles (LR-SAM) to intercept the targets from more than 70 km away.
  7. It also features the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile that can hit the target at land and sea from f*cking 300 kilometres away!
  8. The warship is further equipped wit, surface-to-air missiles, surface- to-surface missiles and anti-submarine rocket launchers. It is also capable of carrying two anti-submarine warfare helicopters.
  9. The milestone here is that the hull of the warship will be floated on water for the first time. The vessel will undergo certain testing required by Indian Navy and would be subsequently known as INS Mormugao.
  10. The Project 15-B destroyers claim to be less detectable by the enemy radar. It’ll also be silent which makes it difficult for the enemy submarines and warships to spot it. Four are being built at a cost of ₹29,700 crore.

Here’s How the Terrorists Executed One of the Deadliest Suicide Attacks in Uri

0
Uri Attack Victims

Recently, an Indian army brigade headquarters was attacked by militants near the Indo-Pak border in Uri. This led to the martyrdom of 17 soldiers in what is being termed as the “most deadly such attack in the northern region of Kashmir in recent years”. As a result of retaliation, 4 fidayeen terrorists were neutralised by the Indian Army.

But, the question rises how the terrorists actually managed to carry out the attack and that too at the HQs. Here is how the story unfolded:

The four terrorists had possibly infiltrated through two locations at the Line of Control (LoC) which are only 6 to 7 kms away from the base. They had possibly infiltrated through either Churunda, located at a height, or Islamabad Nalla, which flows in and out of India.Uri Attack Victims

The probe of the probable two-point breach is being investigated, 1st one at the Line of Control (LoC) at Uri and the 2nd at the perimeter of the Army base that saw the fencing wire being cut.

These two lapses helped suspected Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) fidayeen access the heavily-guarded camp and execute the suicide attacks.

As per preliminary inputs, the suspected Jaish terrorists seem to have followed their usual modus operandi of infiltrating from across Pakistan the night before the attack and heading straight for the target. It was not like the Pathankot attack, wherein the terrorists had spent the night in the base.

Hand of a ‘mole’ or overground worker in alerting the Jaish masterminds to troop positions within the camp is also being taken seriously which helped the fidayeen maximise casualties.

This fact that the terrorists were aware of the layout of the camp and knew their way around is enough to point out at a reconnaissance from within inside. They had possibly identified the stretches where the fence was not properly manned and accordingly found a safe spot to cut the perimeter wire.

Also a changeover of troops was in progress in Uri, of which the attackers had possibly got advance information of, may have provided the perfect target as the forces were concentrated in south Kashmir, dealing with protests there, making Jaish strike in north Kashmir.

The terrorists opened fire at the toilet area at about 5.15 am after entering the base. They then opened fire at the tents, located about 150 metres away from the toilets. The soldiers were sleeping in the tents.

The kote (the storage facility for the arms) also caught fire. An assessment of the losses is being made. Barrels of diesel and kerosene located near the MT (Mechanical Transport area, where vehicles are parked) and the cook house also caught fire.

The terrorists lobbed 17 grenades in three minutes, igniting the diesel dump and creating a massive fire, which burnt the barracks and tents in an area of 150 metres. Thirteen soldiers were burnt alive and 32 others were injured with severe burns.

When the diesel dump exploded, the smog and the subsequent explosion disoriented the terrorists and they headed towards the soldier’s barracks. A terrorist was gunned down by a 19-year-old soldier.

He challenged the remaining three terrorists and sustained a severe head injury when a bullet hit his helmet. He was evacuated by his colleagues. (A 19 YEAR OLD SOLDIER DIED! OH MY GOD!)

Since the barracks was empty the terrorists took defensive position inside the barracks at the second floor. The Army’s Para Commandos stormed the building and eliminated those sons of bitches.

The army recovered a map from the slain terrorists revealing their detailed plan of action. The map was elaborately marked and locations were indicated in Pashtun which is one the tribal languages spoken in Pakistan.

According to official figures as on July 31, there were 72 successful infiltrations across the Line of Control compared to 30’s for the whole of last year. And even all this after our beloved PM visited Pakistan to have “talks over chai” with Nawaz Sharif.

Sir, we would just like to tell you one thing, it’s better to end it once and for good. Everyone knows that Pakistan was behind it as evident from the manufacturers stamp on the terrorists’ weapons. Erase Pakistan from the map before they erase more of our brother-in-arms.

New Salary Under 7th Pay Commission For Indian Soldiers

7th-pay-commission-for-indian-soldiers

After a week-long difference of opinion over the implement enhanced salaries under the 7th Central Pay Commission pay, the armed forces have heeded the advice of Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee (CoSC) Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha has issued directions to all service headquarters asking them to issue orders for implementation of the 7th CPC.This means that the soldiers will receive their new salary in their pay for September, payable in October.

Parrikar has assured the forces that their four-key demands will be met and issue will be sorted out but the decision of the government has to be implemented.Parrikar assured them that the “anomalies” they pointed out in the 7th CPC would be taken up at the “highest level”. Their core demands are entry level pay be hiked as its suppressed, disability pension be brought at par with other wing of the Government; the forces we allowed Non-functional financial upgrade (NFU) and Enhancement of Military Service Pay (MSP) for JCOs.The implementation had been stopped on September 9 after the three services issued letters to their formations saying they have asked the Government to hold “in abeyance” the implementation of the CPC in view of the “unresolved anomalies”. The Tribune had first reported on the matter in its edition dated September 11.

The ‘unresolved anomalies’ had surfaced in the Ministry of Defence (MoD) notification issued on September 6.On September 12, Parrikar had asked the forces to implement the pay commission and grievances, if any, can be taken up latter. The MoD had notified the new pay commission on September 6 and the CoSC had met on September 7 and decided to withhold the CPC pending ‘resolution of anomalies’.
