The Battle Axe Division, formally known as the 11 Infantry Division, is one of the most prestigious formations of the Indian Army. Raised during World War II, the Division has a distinguished combat history and has played a crucial role in several operations, including the Indo-Pak Wars of 1965 and 1971.
The Division, part of the Konark Corps under the Southern Command, is headquartered in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It continues to stand as a symbol of resilience, valour, and professionalism, guarding Indiaโs western frontiers and contributing significantly to the Armyโs operational readiness.
