The Fire & Fury Corps recently conducted the ‘Drone Yodha Competition’ under realistic operational conditions in the high-altitude terrain of Ladakh, showcasing the Indian Army’s growing focus on unmanned aerial systems and modern warfare technologies.
The event was witnessed by Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Fire & Fury Corps, who lauded the participants for their exceptional skill and proficiency in drone operations.
Designed to test advanced drone technologies and tactical innovations, the competition allowed participants to demonstrate their capabilities in surveillance, reconnaissance, and operational manoeuvres in challenging mountainous conditions.
“The event reflects our commitment to leveraging emerging technologies for operational advantage in high-altitude and difficult terrains,” Lt Gen Bhalla said.
The competition underscores the Army’s ongoing emphasis on modernisation, innovation, and preparedness, particularly in areas with complex terrain and heightened strategic significance.
