In a major boost to India’s border security architecture, Indrajaal Drone Defence has launched the ‘Indrajaal Ranger’, the country’s first fully mobile, AI-enabled Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle (ADPV) designed to detect, track, and neutralise hostile drones while on the move.
Engineered to overcome the limitations of static anti-drone systems, the Ranger provides real-time patrolling, autonomous threat assessment, and instant interception, a capability increasingly vital amid rising cross-border drone threats.
The urgency behind the innovation follows a surge in drone-based smuggling operations—ranging from ISI-linked weapon drops to narcotics trafficking worth an estimated ₹3 lakh crore. Hundreds of Pakistani drones have been neutralised this year alone, highlighting the scale of the threat.
Indrajaal CEO and Founder Kiran Raju described the system as a mission-driven innovation.
“Each drone neutralised translates to lives protected and India’s internal security strengthened. This is our primary mission—to defend freedom,” he said.
The ADPV provides dynamic coverage across border roads, canals, agricultural belts, urban areas, and critical infrastructure sites, supported by Indrajaal’s SkyOS autonomy engine—a unified C5ISRT platform integrating multi-sensor intelligence and real-time decision-making.
Guest of Honour Lt Gen Devendra Pratap Pandey (Retd), PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, praised the technology, calling it a vital shield for frontline defenders and vulnerable border communities.
“Technologies like this are not just machines—they are shields protecting our children, our farmers, and our future,” he said.
The Ranger is expected to significantly disrupt the logistical and financial networks of criminal and extremist groups by targeting drone-based supply lines, thereby enhancing both national security and community safety.
Indrajaal, which has already demonstrated large-scale operational capabilities through its advanced counter-UAS systems, is now positioned for expanded deployment following ARDTC certification.
