A total of 1,107 Guards Agniveers of Batch-08 were formally inducted into the Indian Army during an impressive Attestation Parade held at the Guards Regimental Centre, Kamptee, on 20 June 2026.
The parade marked the successful completion of military training for the young recruits, who officially joined the ranks of the Indian Army after undergoing rigorous training designed to prepare them for the demands of military service.

The ceremony was reviewed by Major General Navtej S. Sohal, SM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Headquarters Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat (UM&G) Sub Area, who inspected the parade and congratulated the Agniveers on achieving this significant milestone in their military journey.
The Attestation Parade showcased exceptional standards of discipline, precision and drill, reflecting the high-quality training imparted at the Guards Regimental Centre. The recruits demonstrated military bearing, professionalism and commitment to the values and traditions of the Indian Army.

Addressing the newly inducted soldiers, Maj Gen Sohal commended them for their dedication, perseverance and hard work throughout the training period. He encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and service as they embark on their careers in uniform.
The attestation ceremony symbolised the transformation of the recruits into disciplined soldiers, ready to shoulder the responsibilities of defending the nation and serving with honour and commitment.

Officials noted that the successful completion of training by the 1,107 Agniveers reflects the Indian Army’s continued efforts to build a capable, motivated and future-ready force equipped to meet evolving operational challenges.
As they take their place in the ranks of the Indian Army, the newly attested Guards Agniveers carry forward the proud traditions of the Guards Regiment and stand prepared to serve the nation with courage, dedication and unwavering patriotism.
