Cracked SSB Interview For National Defence Academy NDA 146 Course

0
recommended-nda-ssb-interview

“Gentlemen, the results are not very encouraging, only two of you have made it ” wasn’t the statement that 25 guys who had put in their best efforts throughout the course of the 5-day testing procedure were happy to hear. Yet, with our fingers crossed, we waited for the assessor to say the two chest numbers, which would change two lives forever. I am Dhruv Singh and I got recommended for NDA 146 (ARMY) from 22 SSB, Bhopal on the 24th of February 2021. It was my first attempt and I am ecstatic that it proved to be a fruitful one. I come from an Army background and I say this with conviction, whoever I am today is courtesy to the environment that I got and the values that this organisation instilled in me.

oir test and ppdt

The Army has nurtured me and it is my deepest desire to give back to this institution everything that is in my capacity and even more. Talking about my SSB, we had our reporting on the 20th of February at 5:30 am. I still remember, there was a long queue outside the Cantonment, a long queue of young boys who had the same fire in them and the same dream of joining the most premier organisation in the country. We were 65 on the day of reporting, and after the Day 1 screening procedure, which consisted of two OIR tests and a Picture Perception and Discussion Test, we were filtered down to 25. As for the OIR tests, I had practised some practice sets available on the SSBCRACK website and found that the type of questions was almost the same, which helped me complete the test within the stipulated time. I wrote a decent story in the PP&DT and was able to effectively contribute to the group discussion that followed. The next day we had our psych tests in which I attempted 12 TATs, 60 WATs and 53 SRTs, and wrote a good self-description and tried to keep it as true as possible.

I was the lucky guy who was told at 10:50 am that my interview was scheduled at 11:00 am. Nonetheless, I did pretty well and was very happy with the way my interview materialised. The evenings at the ssb centre were amazing as we played basketball (I am terrible at it, but it was fun) and had conversations and pranks that lasted till late at night. I was fortunate to have a civilised and cooperative group in GTO and found myself in complete control throughout the 9 tasks.

ssbinterviewbook

I gave good and frequent points in both the GDs and was fortunate enough to even give the group plan in the GPE. Since the group was progressive, we did well in PGT, HGT and FGT as well. I managed to do all the 10 obstacles and thanks to my group, we even won the Group Obstacle Race. Being a good orator, I found myself at ease during the lecturette and delivered an effective one. In my command task, I did receive some suggestions from our GTO but was eventually able to complete it successfully. The day of the conference arrived and the rest is history. One of the many takeaways from my experience was that it is necessary to enjoy the testing procedure as it ensures that a person’s true personality reflects in his thoughts and actions. Finally, I can answer the most important question. YES, I HAVE IT IN ME!

Cracked SSB Interview To Join the OTA Chennai

Handsome is he who handsome does. Indian Army has given me the opportunity to become a Handsome person in my life. Hi,  My name is Pronoy Das (B.Tech in Electrical Engineering). I recently got recommended for SSC(Tech)-56 entry for Army. I would like to share my success story with you guys because I want to shatter the myth that only ‘talented’ people get in. The journey started 2 years back, in the year 2019, when I got to know that there’s an entry called SSC(Tech) through which an engineering graduate can join armed forces as an officer. In my first three attempts, I took a lot of pressure and went for my respective SSBs. At those times I was confident enough but my desperation to join armed forces didn’t allow me to get through. So one thing I would like to suggest to everyone that Be Eager to achieve it, don’t be desperate for that.

ssbinterviewbook

Believe me, friends, If you have qualities then SSB will definitely select you. And you can easily develop your qualities by helping others in real life or by doing some good works. Don’t follow your regular life schedule friends, always do some work which will make you different from others.

In this way you can develop your qualities. Talking about my SSB, amongst 179 candidates 24 got screened in and 3 got recommended. On the screen in test the picture was on social gathering and my story was also on following the rules and regulations of Covid-19. You have to keep in mind that for direct entries you have to make good stories and as well as your narration should be perfect.

In the PSYCHOLOGY test I wrote 12/12 stories; 60/60 WATs and 60/60 SRTs.

For the psychology test, I only downloaded the TAT, WAT and SRT sheets from SSBCRACK.COM and practised those to improve my HANDWRITING SPEED only.

spot_img

I have seen most of my friends practised those psychology papers to improve their stories, WATs and responses in SRT. But you have to understand that psychology is a constant thing and varies from person to person. So don’t copy it from others. Always give your original response which will match with your answers in PI and as well as with your performance in GTO.

For the GTO, rather than giving my own points, I gave the first priority to the group. I understood that to become a good Speaker I have to be a good Listener. For this, I carefully listened to others points and appreciated them for their participation also. In-ground tasks I kept myself calm and helped my group when the faced difficulties.

Because of the Pandemic Situation I wasn’t able to complete the individual obstacles. I only completed 8 obstacles out of 10.  But I was good in Command Task and Final Group Task.

oir test and ppdt

My Personal Interview was conducted on DAY-4. In the interview you have to focus on 3 things (1) About yourself ; (2) Your General Knowledge  ; (3) Your Technical Knowledge. ( for tech entries)

Everyone knows about their own life so I haven’t faced any difficulties over there.. Even my general knowledge was little good. But my best part was my Technical Knowledge.

One thing you have to show them on which no one can stand beside you. That means you have to tell them why you are worthy for armed forces.

As I was good in all three parts my interview also went good.

On the day-5 my conference went approx. 30 seconds and the Interviewing officer asked  me that if there will be only one vacancy and amongst 24 whom do you like to select.

Now at that point after giving a perfect performance everyone should definitely nominate their own name. But I didn’t. I nominated the name of the person who’s chest number was next to me.

TAT ebook part 1 ssbcrack 324x324 1

Although we both performed really well and we both deserved that one vacancy. But I nominated him because  that was his 11 th attempt and mine was 4 th. We both were same and eligible for that post but his dedication beat me somewhere somehow, that I felt. Then after an hour the result announced and we both got recommended. When I asked him about his conference then I shocked, because the interviewing officer asked him the same question and he nominated my name rather than taking his own name.

Army wants Sacrifice. Army wants best. That I learnt on that day.

When I started the journey I was nothing. Zero English, Zero Knowledge, technically poor. But I had three important qualities, those are Dedication, Hardwork and Never Give Up attitude.

If you will think to achieve then no one can stop you.

Its not depend upon your condition or family background or environment,  It totally depends upon you for which after 1 year I will become the first Army officer in my Village.

“When the going gets tough,

The tough get going”.

My Journey To Become Assistant Commandant In Indian Coast Guard In My 5th Attempt

1
IMG 20210319 WA0028

Hi I am Siddharth Bhati and this is going to be a long story, and I am writing this especially for my fellow repeaters. It all started in 2014, I was in 12th, preparing for my JEE suffering from Kidney stones and failing almost all entrance exams that too very badly, decided to take a drop and the results didn’t improve much, twisted my ankle badly but had SSB the very next week. So on my birthday 4th September 2015, TES 34, 18 SSB Allahabad, after getting screened in, I became very overconfident and as a result, got conferenced out.

ssbinterviewbook

Then in October 2015 went to Bhopal for 10+2 Navy and the result was SO. Taking direct entries for granted, I was hoping for a miracle failing the NDA written parallel, I again went for TES 35 in Bhopal and got screened out. Then I decided that I would focus on the left-over entrance exams of engineering as I already had screwed my JEE and BITSAT  again. Somehow managed to clear the cut-off and took admission to Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka in Civil Engineering. Joined NCC over there, the drift from north to south had made me positive, the fire of dawning the uniform was burning again. Started getting decent grades in College, started long-distance running.

spot_img

But it seemed as if God had a different kind of Grudge against me, in a football match that injured my back, which led to a minor slip disc. And those negative thoughts started coming again. But the environment that I was in, of great seniors getting recommended continuously, all my juniors bringing laurels to our NCC unit, it was very hard to remain negative. Then in my 7th semester, I cleared the first written exam for defence forces. “INET”! I once again went to Bhopal with a different mindset, it was the last batch as I had my End seems during the regular one. And unfortunately, I was not even able to appear for screening because I did not have some document. In Feb 2020, I completed my First Full Marathon which changed my perspective towards life. Appeared for AFCAT failed! Appeared for CDSE twice FAILED! All this going through, and the onset of Pandemic meant I could not report for several SSB’s either due to quarantine procedure of that state or because I had covid like symptoms. It was November 2020, and this was my last attempt for CDSE(IMA)! And I cleared all the cut-off’s that I had applied for INA, IMA and OTA, that too easily (Waiting for my SSB for the same). Then came November 28th, 2020 and my SSB after almost 4.5 years for TGC 132 course.

oir test and ppdt

I had no expectations this time and just went to enjoy myself, it was 20 SSB Bhopal, got screened in and enjoyed the process, in the conference was being made to wait for about 15-20 minutes, and the same went for about 10 minutes, I knew I was borderline, but unfortunately didn’t make it. But there were so many positives. January 28th, appeared for Pre-Selection board for Assistant Commandant in Indian Coast Guard in Noida, 130 reported 18 got in, I was lucky to cross the line. In FEB gave Afcat and cleared it, Gave CAPF in December 2020 but missed it by 4-5 marks. Then finally on 14th March reported for the Final-Selection Board in Noida, 52 were there. Psych Test was okay, so was The GTO then came the interview and it went for about 1 hour 30 minutes, he pressurized me a lot for not succeeding in life as I was already 23, gave me many SRT’s, asked me some adult questions as well, grilled me on my hobbies and interests ! the stress was such that I had almost tears in my eyes and smile on face. After the interview, I thought that I had no chance of making It. Finally, the conference day came, 19th March 2021! I think I was the only one who was 100% sure of not getting recommended.

I was Chest Number 22, as 21 went the wait began, 5…10…15 minutes, I was nervous, the bell rang and went in! It was great to see all officers in white uniform, but they all seemed serious. The IO began asking me

How Would you rate all your tests?

What went wrong in your Interview?

Since u r a civil engineer redesign this selection centre

How is this building different from the rest in Delhi-NCR

What modifications would you like to make so the coming candidates remain motivated?

TAT ebook part 1 ssbcrack 324x324 1

I answered all and went out with a smiling face! After a couple of hours of wait, the Psychologist came dressed in white uniform, motivated us, told us what they are looking for and all those formalities. Then he announced first chest number 21, and then he said “Twenty……Two” and I was numb did know how to react but then after few minutes hugged my group mates and cried like babies.

My medicals are still on , I don’t know if I will clear them or not , but I wanted all of you to know that nothing comes easy , just keep trying and trying and trying !
