The ceremonial parade of MOBC-255 marked a proud milestone as 123 young Medical and Dental Officers, including 32 Women Officers, were commissioned into the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), signifying their formal induction into military medical service.
Lt Gen Shivinder Singh, AVSM, Commandant of the Armed Forces Medical College Centre and College (AMCC Centre and College), reviewed the parade and exhorted the newly commissioned officers to serve the nation with compassion, humility, and dedication. He highlighted the unique responsibility borne by medical officers in safeguarding the lives and health of soldiers in both peace and conflict.

Captain Kaushal Joshi was adjudged the Best All-Round Officer for his exceptional performance in academics, military training, leadership, and overall conduct during the course.

The officers received comprehensive training in military ethos, combat medicine, Combat Casualty Care, and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), preparing them to operate effectively in demanding operational environments.

With the successful completion of their training, the newly commissioned officers stand ready to serve the nation with distinction, reinforcing the vital role of the Armed Forces Medical Services in maintaining the operational effectiveness of the Armed Forces.
